Anyone have a baby sling they want to get rid of?

Hey mama! I just gave away one of my slings and I'm still using my mayan wrap but i think my friend might have one she's not using. How soon do you need it (Or if you are handy with a sewing machine you can download a pattern and just buy the metal rings;do not ever use plastic rings as they tend to wear down. They are very simple to make. I would suggest a sturdy hemp or cotten material )? Anyways, let me know when you need it by and I'll see if she wants to part with hers.

If only this had been posted two months ago. I would have given up my sling in a heartbeat. My daughter never liked it (much to my dismay.)
But... I'm going to try again with this new little one on the way.

BandAide, what kind of sling did you use? I found the best ones for newborns are by kangarookorner.com I am wearing it in the picture I posted. Its a bit more snug and ideal for wee ones under 3 months.

E.T.A. of the little one is 4-20. I wanted to get one for my instead of something like the Baby Bjorn. Thanks for your replies and if someone can part with one, let me know.

I don't have one to give away, but they are really easy to make. Check out http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/ I sewed mine by hand before my 3rd child was born and I still use it. (she is 22lbs now) You can get cheap fabric and gold rings at Walmart or any craft store. You could also get a big piece of fabric and just use it as a wrap. IME it is best to choose a fabric that has a little give to it, but that isn't stretchy. Hope this helps some. :)

I had the New Native Baby Sling. My daughter would get upset when she was little because she couldn't see over the sides. I tried a baby bjorn and she didn't like that either. I'm going to try both again with our new baby.

Another thought...if you have a sturdy shawl or small blanket you can use it for a sling.
Check out this web site.
