View Full Version : The Origination of Evil

Are we inherently evil? The die cast when Eve plucked that apple to torment Adam.

Does God caste us with tainted skin as to make us earn our salvation?

Or are we innocent at birth? Able to use our free-will to define our status as to whether or not the winner's of a war will dub us good or bad. Right or wrong?

Will it be the Romans?

What about the Romans in Washington?

Who determines your path? Is it sociological, psychological?

Can it be regulated, medicated, tolerated?

Will training change it?

What about nuturing?

Does caring beget more caring?

Or does God control destiny from up on high?

Did God kill JFK? Satan? Mick Jagger?

Where does evil come from?

Questions like these is what keeps hope in people's hearts and minds.
No matter what path of faith you follow, keep asking those questions. One day they will be answered.

I am not sure that there is an answer or that there should be one.

somethings are better left to the great what-if. or what would.

if you have the answers there is no more reason to keep living.

Exactly, like when you wonder what your life would be like if you had made a different decision in the past. You can't, you have to learn from it so that it's not repeated.

you are really underminding the Bush's with that quote. I mean, just because his father got us into a lengthy engagement in the middle east and sunk the economy doesn't mean that his son will do the same.

oh wait....

Wow man, your questions are deep. I think I'll think about one question per week. My mind isn't that big to wrap it around all that at once. Thanks for the questions and the gentle provoking.

Hey Joe-

kinda hoping you aren't running off to Mexico with a gun in your hand.

I look forward to your responses. Thank you for taking time to consider.

I don't know that I possess any more depth than the next guy, just the need to rationalize my fears more, or perhaps to gain a general understanding of how the world perceives itself. Or maybe both.

OK, I'm lost on that one...not sure why I would have a gun and be running off to Mexico. Boston is as far south as I want to go, and a gun?

He was referring to the song "hey Joe" from Jimi Hendrix.
