The photo of a crumpled can of Diet Coke told the story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Coke's hometown paper. Fitting, poetic, just, but tragic for the company once rated "The Most Admired Business in the World". Today Coke wouldn't even make the list. Sales are down, profits collapsing, and 6,000 employees soon will be gone. To make room for 6,000 defense attorneys? The tragedy is stupendously larger than 6,000 jobs; it affects hundreds of millions of unwarned, innocent, afflicted consumers across the broad face of planet earth.aspartame (http://www.lightparty.com/Health/DietCokeAspartame.html)

I just sent this to my sister she drinks diet pepsi and I hate it, always have. She is very unhealthy and it scares the crap outta me.

That stuff has always given me a headache. One more reason to trust my body. :)

Here's my plug for Jone's soda. If you have to have soda at least they make it with real sugar, not aspartame or high fructose corn syrup (don't get me started on that stuff). They have way better flavors too. :D

:hippie:

Jone's soda is excellent. We have several brands available out of Maine that are of the same quality.

The key for me is no caffeine. So I am into creme soda, vanilla, or orange. The high-fructrose corn syrup is a nightmare. People just don't realize how bad it is for them. That is one thing that you hear that every pro-athlete and celeb stays away from.

aspartame (http://www.lightparty.com/Health/DietCokeAspartame.html)

While I don't doubt that aspartame is bad, I'd put very little faith in that article. Just as an example, here's a link about Monsanto's stock price history: http://caps.fool.com/Ticker/MON.aspx

That's a pretty long way from being "in the toilet", isn't it?
:D

The article echoes what the rest of the internet is saying. Google Aspartame and see. I'm not a soda drinker anyways but a can of sweet chemicals can't be good for anyone. :)
