How many of you guys would actually use them? Im in the process of making some, there super easy. I take my lunch to work everyday and kris packs his lunch too. I dont buy zip lock bags, they are cheap but not in my budget and that adds up over time. And Im sick of looking for glass containers small enough, and kris doesnt like bringing snacks in old pickle or baby food jars, lol Can anyone else feel my pain? If you do let me know I will make you a reusable snack bag!!! And then maybe you can make a few and pass them on to friends, so we get out of this disposable kick we are on!!!!
Anyone with kids, this is a great idea!!!

and plastic. YUCK. Im tryin to eliminate plastic entirely from our lives.plastic is a necessary evil of the modern world. That battle isn't even worth fighting. That will just run you ragged.
It's like trying to convince Republicans to think, or Catholic Priests that children are off limits.
Plastic is as plastic does.
in fact, when you respond to this, you will be in contact with plastic.

Me too Denise. Andy, she means disposable plastic, short life landfill plastic. Not durable goods plastic. Oh, know what? I dig the new recycled biodegradable CD cases. Have y'all seem em'?

Ok cool, sounds good!! I will let ya know when Ive made a bunch and we can go from there!!! I HAVE to start my seeds this weekend I havent yet, bad bad Denise. But I bet sunday night I will have a chance to whip up a few!! yaaa!!!
And yes I mean disposable, landfilled plastics. Ive really doin a good job downsizing our plastic usage. I dont have any plastic containers for storage, ive found some really nice glass containers at slavation army. The deoderant I use even comes with out a container now, just a salt rock basically. Anyway i know plastics are everywhere and unaviodable at times, but when I can aviod it I will.
Kris has thrown away a few of the reusable bags but not many and he wont anymore, I told him id start sending him with hello kitty bags, lol, he said nooooooo I wont throw them away anymore I will remember, lol
Ed, I havent seen those? Sounds cool though!!

I cringe everytime I go to the grocery store and people walk out with like 20 plastic bags. they couldn't invest the $10 for reuasable ones?
that is the worst.

Denise how do you make them? I would love to makes some. My hubby takes a bagged lunch. I like to send carrot slices and that sort of thing but the sturdy tupperware that is large enough won't fit so I usually wind up using ziplock bags though I try to reuse them when I can. I also use them a lot for freezing things. Would the reusable ones work for that?

Maybe if you could make them air tight some how? I only use them for lunch and on the go snacks etc...
But they are just made from cloth, sewn in whatever size you want, Ive used buttons but you can throw a zipper on it instead. I will look for some pics and post em. Like a coin purse almost but bigger. The sandwich ones you can make like a wrap, or mat fold it around the sandwich add some velcor and your set!
So easy to make!!!! When I make a bunch I will send ya one if youd like so you have one to go by!!!
