Since the Haiku is taking off... I thought I would come up with something more traditional.

If I leave this earth and leave nothing
I will have accomplished my goal

If I walk this earth and leave footprints
follow and you will find my soul

If I fly over this earth and see hunger
I'll wonder who's conscience aches

certainly not the rich man who bought
the wise man's books.

certainly not the fat man who ate
the poor people's food.

definitely not the wise man
who sold his soul for the money
that another lesser man had horded

free from materialistic consumerism
release the bonds of capitalism
that have kept me riding in the
passenger seat of the Jones's car.

for the person that leaves the earth
with nothing
leaves the earth with
everything they need

the person who exits with nothing
takes nothing from he who needs
