If thoughts are energy, what we think affects us and the world around us. Negative thoughts will attract negative results. Positive thoughts will attract positive results. But do we really know what thoughts buzz around in our heads 24/7? Many of us don't.
So, how can you begin training your mind to think more positively?
1. Meditate: Slow your mind down so you can know your thoughts and release them. Meditation is not only a vital tool for a healthy mind but also a healthy body. It lowers blood pressure and actually keeps your mind active and clear. Start simply but consistently. Find the method that suits you and stick with it. Results will come.
2. Begin inserting positive thoughts every day when you wake up and/or before you go to bed. Write down THREE (at least) positive things. It sounds silly but the act of writing is filled with energy and the thought used to write those things is filled with energy. It begins to retrain your brain - Think of things you are happy about, glad to have, appreciate, are grateful for. Being grateful is a way of being positive - Try it for a month and see if things in your life have changed at all. You have nothing to lose by doing this.
3. Do one selfless thing a week to start with. Take a cart back for someone at the grocery store. Smile at a passer by. Open the door for a stranger. Send an anonymous gift to a friend and expect nothing in return. Donate some clothes to a shelter. Compliment somone expecting nothing in return. Offer to do a chore for a housemate. Positive attracts positive energy.
Negative things may still happen but the difference will be - your brain will turn them around. Your brain will find a way to get you out of that negative situation or negative mindset and see what you are grateful for.
You are blessed. Be well.
Begin here:
1. Write THREE things that you are grateful for, or change negatives into positives about yourself or others.
2. Share how you meditate, how you began, your difficulties and your success!
3. Tell us if this law has appeared in your life or other people's lives around you?
4. What have you shared with others and how do you think it came back to you?

my personality, im grateful for it
my family, I love them so much, id be so different with out my son, somedays when I feel so stressed I think where would I be with out him.
my home, im blessed to live in a wonderfull place surrounded by wilderness
2. Share how you meditate, how you began, your difficulties and your success!
I like to meditate outside in the green grass, and in the winter I sit in my room with candles and insence. I clear my mind which is hard, sometimes I cant unless all work is done, if theres a pile of laundry near by my mind mentally folds it,lol I need to work on that one
3. Tell us if this law has appeared in your life or other people's lives around you?
I believe it has, I dont have proof but I can feel it. I send my positive thoughts towards strangers, elderly people I see at the store who think my generation is rude and crude. And when I do I feel great inside and it extends out. Im always helping out, taking back carts, opening doors with a smile. I just hope they pass it on.
4. What have you shared with others and how do you think it came back to you?
What havent I. My home, heart, soul. When I give, I give it all. I forgive and forget all the time. Im not worried how it comes back, im so blessed it must have something to do with that.
Great thread Hedgewitch!!! Im a true believer in positive energy.
Somedays when Im feelin off, I wont let my son know I feel that way but everytime I do, he does. I wont act or treat him any different but inside I feel like I may explode. He can feel that, it effects him.

I love this thread. Thought is a form of creation. We are creative beings.
I am grateful for my family, my health, this body
I started yoga and I sit and focus on my breathing after doing poses.
I enjoy giving away smiles. i look people in the eye and make them take it. mostly they give it back.
And honestly, random acts of kindness, I'm the original boyscout.
Blessings,
Peace

I believe a positive attitude is contagious.
1. I am grateful for:
My family, they're my reason for living.
My faith, it makes me who I am.
Spring, it reminds me that the good things are always there, even when we can't see them, just waiting for the warmth they need to flourish.
2. I don't meditate per se but I clear my mind to pray every evening.
3. I use to be a waitress and I never got over how great it was to have someone come in a foul mood and be able to share a smile and have them go away happy. It gives you the energy to keep smiling.
4. I get a lot of happiness out of doing little thing to help whether people notice them or not. It gives me peace inside. One of my favorite things to do is send up a prayer for peace and understanding for all involved when I see someone get pulled over by a police officer. I don't know if it helps or not but of the many times I've been pulled over (it was literally every other week for a while :) ), I've only gotten two tickets in the last 5 years. (Just to clarify, that was before I had kids :D )
I really believe random acts of kindness can change the world.

1-a-my kids, they are my world
b-my Mom
c-my job, they love and accept me in all my weirdness
2-I try to meditate outside (weather permitting) or if not in front of my huge picture window, so I can feel the sun.
3-I give to others, a smile and kind words, sometimes I hunt for the crabiest looking person and see if I can get them to smile......

I am thankful that I started in the place where I was meant to be. I am also thankful for the ability to wander when I must, search when I need, and walk until my feet bleed.

This IS a great thread!
I'm happy just to still be here I've had ups and downs in my life, like everyone else, and just being alive is a reward.
I'm blessed with everyone who stuck with me through my up and downs.
At this point in my life, I'm just satisfied. I hope that comes to everyone.

Senior Happy Hippie members are an inspiration. When my energy is feeling twisted I breath into the Hara, this can be done anywhere, anytime. Bad mornings get the breathing along with a pressure point tune up and stretching. I need to develop disipline and do it every day. Strangely enough I am thankful for the difficulties as well as the good, the setbacks seem to have lessons in them. I still need more practice and am thankful for the positive role model Happies. Sending positive energy begins with a smile for me, it just grows by itself from there. It is fun to help a frowning passer with a smile. Yes it works.

I am a firm believer in positive energy. This reflects in my clinical work. Most addiction treatment focuses on relapse prevention, which keeps the person focused on the possibility of failure. I believe this feeds the probability of failure. I prefer to have clients focus on building and maintaining their recovery, which is a positive focus that fosters success. I call this Success-Centered Addiction Recovery Facilitation and am trying to engage other providers to adopting this approach.
There are many things wrong, as the media points out readily. There are, however, so many more things that are right; that is where I put my focus. I also put my energy into doing what I can to make the wrong things better. :hippie:

I hope that comes to everyone.
If they seek it, it already has happened, everyone just needs to realize it, in day to day trauma of how we are manipulated to think it becomes very hard to manifest it, that's what the dark forces want, each and everyone can control this if we choose!
