Food rationing?
Come on!
This isn't 1941!
Then again, it might bring down obesity rates...
one 20lb bag of rice per customer sounds fair to me.
How much rice do you need?

I was hoping Y2k would have been great if it happened, and 2012 is still too far away, I'm glad this has come up. I heard about it and wanted to read up. I will comment again after reading this.
EDIT:
This article goes to show that we should stop paying farmers not to farm. We need to eat our food locally and grow it in america. I don't honestly know of any fruit or vegetable that can't be grown in our soils. There are areas that we can even grow rice!

Grow Food Not Grass.
Everyone in urban areas needs to rethink that tidy little lawn out front. If you're going to spend the $$ in watering grass, you may as well be growing something to eat.
Long live CSA's!!

Coming down from my mountain, rice fields, almost as far as the eye can see. Interesting. I think a revol*tion is in order. I'd like to go and help Unkle John on his eco-farm if the shit hit the fan. The other half of my clan is in Tejas right now anyways :D
