Economic Stimulus

So George Bush figures that if he gives a few hundred dollars to each tax payer, they will go buy stuff and our woes will be over. I don't know about you guys but I am going to pay off my gas card!!! Does anyone believe this stimulus package will do anything for the economy? Will it allow you to forget the dire situation the Bush Administration has put us in? What do you plan to do with yours?

Im putting mine in my savings account. I dont see it helping anything, except paying off debt that everyone has due to gas and groceries going through the roof. Im saving mine because I see harder times ahead and Id like to have something to help me if I need it in the future.

Worst idea ever, and that mailing they sent out cost like 45 million dollars. Asinine. I guess the post office like it.

I dont think this will make anyone like bush anymore. But I do know some families that really really need it and it will help them make rent, but thats not a lasting fix, thats what I wish for. Something that will stick.

I'm planning on saving mine. I see some potential hard times ahead. The check will my our little cushion to fall back on. And if things get better, it will be our vacation fund for the Outer Banks next summer.

I have heard some people talking about what they are going to do with their check. Things like new surround sound systems, video game systems, or shopping sprees. So maybe with a few live in the moment people like that, the economy will be "stimulated". Or at least Wal-Mart will be. THen after the money is all blown, we are right back where we started. Bush blows. Thank god the time for change has come...

some of mine was allotted long before it was a stimulus

we need to put a fence on 2 sides of our backyard so we can just tie a pork chop to the kids and let them run from the dog without worrying about them getting away

(kind of a humorous way to say it was the little project we were gonna do with next years tax money anyway)

but a large chunk of it gets saved for the dark times looming (which will come for me on or about august, when this job is done)

Looks like China and the Global Corporations are the likely winners in this SNAFU. I'm putting mine in savings until I can convert it to something more valuable and lasting.
