As I'm sure I've mentioned, I have very limited garden space, so I convinced my very sweet hubby to make me planter boxes for my birthday. I am really excited about them! The only problem is that we need to seal them before I can plant in them but since I will be planting veggies I want something non-toxic. Does anyone have any suggestions? :D

I just got mine two weeks ago!! We used non-pressurized, non-treated redwood. It's hardy, and has no chemicals on it.
I can't think of any sealer that's really safe enough to be in a garden, not even the low VOC stuff. Maybe just wing it like me, and let nature do its thing on it. yes, it will fall apart someday.... :o

I used non-treated wood for my garden beds, and didn't seal them. I, too, am letting nature take its course on them. And after a very harsh winter and wet spring, they still look great. I'd say you'd be fine with no sealer.
