That's right not only do companies that use gene-spliced ingredients not have to label their products as such, but now the FDA has made it illegal for the companies that use all non-bioengineered ingredients to label their products as bioengineered free. Their reasoning is that it would give the natural products an unfair market advantage. So who exactly is that protecting? Oh yeah, Monsanto's profits. If this doesn't piss you off, then never mind ... go consume.

That is one of the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time. The FDA really needs an overhaul. With the rulings they make it is impossible not to conclude that they are in the pocket of so many big businesses that they are selling the safety of the American people to the highest bidder. :mad:
