whats beyond these walls
without windows
the sun, the sky, a patch of green

can you roam free
stretch your legs
drink from the crystal stream

I can imagine the birds chirping
as the flowers push forth colors
and the squirrels gnaw on acorns

but I can't feel the warmth
or breath the fresh air
that cannot permeate
these castle walls.
