Why is this so hard to find dye free and sodium laurel sulfate free products !! Urgh even the "natural" stuff has the SLS in it even if it says no artificial ingredients.

I have been extremely active in finding toiletry items that are green/natural but the more I search the more I find.. well trendy green.. trendy natural and a lack of actual just soap/shampoo.

Anyone else have this problem?

Constantly. It takes me forever to get through my shopping if toiletries are involved. I just love how so many products label themselves as "natural" yet to the trained eye, the chemicals are still evident. I FINALLY was able to find a good basic shampoo and conditioner at Whole Foods that doesn't leave my hair feeling like straw. Since my hair is almost down to my tailbone I'm kinda picky. I've worked too hard to get it to this point to let it fry!! Even Tom's of Maine toothpaste has SLS in it. We just can't win. So yes...trust me I feel your pain.

Anyone tried making there own? I got a great book at the library but I haven't got around to trying it yet. It doesn't sound all that hard and I would love to know exactly what is in the stuff I use on my baby's. :D

Right now I am using up the 365 brand of shampoo.. it's great up to t he SLS and I am using DR bronner's on my son.. it's like got nothing bad in it that I can tell.

I use the crystal for underarm deo and I tried the sls free version of Tom's but it tastes horrible :P

Looking into California baby products and trying to back track and find something for myself.
