how do i put a whole in glass for a pipe?

hey i really need sum help:P i am 16 and i dont have the money to go and buy a glass pipe, and im sick of using plastic ones and killing my lungs with the toxic fumes from the plastic. I dont have a drill so if any of you guys know how to put a hole in a glass bottle to make a pipe please tell me:)

Buy a metal pipe, then. Or if you must, make a simple coke-can pipe. I can't imagine you can buy marijuana but you can't throw down $10 for a small chillum, or $5 for a small metal piece.

Make a water piece out of a twenty oz coke bottle using a empty pen thing as a slide & the cap as the bowl but cover that w/ aluminum foil with little holes.

Hey, I don't know if this is true or if it's misguided (because it doesn't apply to m e, I never cared to do the research), but I've heard that smoking from alluminum is a theoretical cause of Parkinson's disease.

If you're considering smoking from coke cans, maybe you want to research that a little.

Also, you can buy a glass pipe for as little as 20$. Granted, I don't know how great they are (again, not applicable to me) but it's got to be better than smoking out of a bottle!

...try carving one out of a piece of wood. Its really easy... though sharp knives can be really dangerous!

glass pipes, especially smaller ones are easy to find inexpensively. if you can afford to smoke, you should have no prob acquiring a piece ;)

Agreed. Most every convenience store and head shop around where I live has little glass or metal one hit devices for five bucks or less. Oh, and don't try to drill glass; best case scenario it doesn't work, worst case is you mutilate yourself.

kind of off the topic of pipes, but i have a penis-shaped shotglass. its great watching people take shots out of it, the look they get on their face when they first see it and realize they're drinking out of it is almost better tho. ;)

i got it from a store at the mall here...spencer's comes to mind, im pretty sure thats where i got it. it came with a recipe for 'the perfect headjob' which was just a recipe for a shot of whiskey with kahlua, but it was still funny. :D

yeah...big mistake...glass gets everywhere! you even break a bit and it gets in all your clothes etc...
the worst case was when i was at a party and a lamp got broken and all the small shards of glass went down the back of my trousers!!!! ouch! :eek:

i know people who have successfully drilled glass, but im guessing they've done it before...had all the rigght stuff, a diamond bit and such...i wouldnt recommend it to just anyone.

To make a hole in a glassbottle u put a small coin in a empty bottle an hit a pillow with it,in my youth I used some cloth in my hand.
U usually end up with a small hole in the side of bottom of the the bottle.

Edit: To make a hole higher up I figure u put some water inside the bottle let it freeze an hope it wont crack the bottle,the u do the same.

I drilled a hole in a glass bottle for a waterbong once (actually last week).. I used a drill press, it cracked the bottle but it's still air tight and it made the hole right when it cracked, lol.

But if you want a cheap way to smoke, do like my friend did and go down to ACE Hardware pick you up some brass pieces: a straight tube (try to stuff some mesh or something in it for a filter), get an elbow joint, and something to use as a bowl (maybe one of the pieces that screws in the elbow joint then has a larger open end for a bigger tube) and put a pipe screen down in it. I have two pipes from that friend and they both work really well. I attached a pic of them so you can see what I'm talking about.

Also I'm not sure how safe this is (haven't used the bowl yet) but me and another friend just made pipes out of clay in art class, its that white clay that feels kinda like foam and you give it 3 days to harden and don't have to glaze or fire it or anything. But like I said, dunno how safe that is (anyone got an idea, before I smoke out of it?)
