Seed Jewellery

in summer we get through loads of melons and always ask people to save the seed then i wash them and dry them out and make bracelets out of them :)
sometimes i add wooden beads too....obviously the different melons have different seeds so ive got a nice selection...

i havent go any pictures yet but i'll post some when i have :)


this is really fun to do with kiddies too...i used to do it with my mummy when i was ikkle! we used to dye the seeds with food colouring too and make long necklaces...

When I was in Asheville a few months ago, I picked up some uber cool seed pins and earrings. They were painted seeds (melon of some sort), and then made/glued into beautiful flower brooches, rings and earrings. It's so cool ..looks hard though
