blasted knat

I have this knat in my house and I'm not exactly sure where it came from. It is rather annoying since it keeps landing here on the computer screen where I am trying to type. I keep trying to shoo it away but alas it won't be shooed.
So does this mean that spring is coming? And how in the heck do these things just appear?

Probably found it's way in on some produce or something. They tend to go away after a few days; make sure to take out your trash and recycling, and clean your fridge and everything. If that doesn't help, there are little plug in bug-zappers that attract and kill gnats. Have fun...

Fruit Fly trap:

Get yourself a two liter plastic bottle. Cut the hole bigger but keep it as small as you can. Drop chunks of apples in, a bit of soda, maybe some grapes (cut open), some lettuce...anything you think these little buggers might like.

Get yourself some of that sticky flypaper....Unroll it and sort of drop it in there propped up on some sticks so there's lots of surface area..

Put this bottle wherever you see em...

Last year, the dorms used to be filled w/ knats! I mean CLOUDS of knats! We used perfume & other sprays to get them high & swat them out of the air ;)
