Ok,

We have another thread talking about tire houses and the subject of bottle walls came up. We were wondering how to build a wall. Well, here is a link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottle_wall) to wiki on how they say to construct one and another link (http://maven.gtri.gatech.edu/sfi/gradcourses/goathouse/MBWall.html) so you can see how they are built.

Awesome links!!!!!! Thank you :D

Im thinking about just doing a border around either my garden or flower beds, I saw some pics of that and it looked sweet!!!! Like two or three bottles high. Ive already started saving my bottles, ive got a few cases of beer, brown bottles in the basement. I wish they had beer in blue bottles. Ive got some rolling rock too, green bottles.

Im not good at building, so I was hoping to steer clear of framing and stuff. Me and tape measures dont get along;)

Sugar Mountain Farm Bottle Wall (http://sugarmtnfarm.com/blog/2007/10/bathtub-bottle-wall.html)

I found the book that mentions mixing mortar for these projects.

To get a variety of bottles I suggest you go to your local recycle center. Go early in the morning before they open the office. That why you can get your choice of bottles and colors still in one piece.

Great idea Savon!!

John, I wonder why he cut all the bottles? I thought you used the bottles as they were?

I think b/c he had limited space (in the wall thickness).
I bet they also thought about using the cut ones to hold soap and such.
