The Black Crowes, "Warpaint." Cool songs like "Wee wHO seE the DeEp." Some of the stuff on the later tracks has a "Dead Head" sound to it, like "Locust Street". "Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution." "Move it on Down the Line." That's what I've been groovin' with for a while, lookin' for somethin'...

I'm changing back and forth between the soundtrack to [I]Across the Universe[I] and Old Crow Medicine Show. And Libra, LOVE the Avett Brothers.

The movie "Across the Universe?" Blew me away! Freaked me out. People would say, "the Beatles have hidden messages in thier music." "Helter Skelter." Turns out their was a whole frickin' movie hidden there. "I want you so bad" at the begining of the show, a new twist to be sure. It's driving me mad - it's driving me mad...and the way they did "Let it Be," set in the Detroit race riots. Why do I not own that D.V.D.?

The "Let It Be" segment in the movie gave me chills. Loved it. Now I have chills just thinking about it...

Been Groovin to the new Kid Rock C.D. He's from Detroit. Don't Laugh, Kid Rock has been hangin' with Hank. This C.D. has depth, funk, country, straight rock, and two shockers. I think he will cross all Genres with this. That's what I like about what can be done with music today, no typecasting. She wore blue jeans and a rosary....Roll on Roller Coaster....Amen.

I just got the best of Godsmack in along with Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails, a new copy of Bloody Kisses by Type O Negative, and the first cd by a metal band called 3 Inches of Blood and the Cradle of Filth deluxe edition of Thornography so I have been kind of bouncing between those lately. Oh and some Switchblade Symphony and Revrend Horton Heat that I aquired over the weekend.

lol they are both pretty mellow bands compared to most of what I listen to. Another band that you may like is Mastodon, kind of metal but highly melodic.

Keith Christmas (http://music.download.com/keithchristmas/3600-8375_32-100277806.html), four free high-bitrate MP3's to download. Clean, pure sound.

Platos Halo (http://platoshalo.com/musicmall.cfm), also free downloads. They're sorta like Evanescence meets Gentle Giant. And sorta not.

And for everyone who's had their band booked by the Blues Brothers' manager, a little Webb Wilder. (No shit, chickenwire across the stage and we needed it). I can't find it free, but them's the breaks.

I finally bought myself a pair of decent headphones, got the Koss Pro-4aa's that look like they belong on a tank commander. Not too comfy, but Egads! the sound quality. I'm liking this.

On the assembly line a new guy with lots of tatoos of demons on his arms started working across from me, he's a real nice guy. Dude brought in this huge friggin stero, we blasted out some Kid Rock the other day, it was fun. My supervisor is named Kim, she is a really cool Woman of Color, but when... "you got a body like devil and you smell like sex" blasted out, I saw her blush a bit. It was fun! Kim is cool.

We have these fun spots in the day, assembly work is a mental challenge, the same thing over, and over, and over again. The plant was developed with veterans of WW II and a military mind set complete with drill seargent type supervision. I think some of the management strageties were developed in prison camps. When Women started entering the work force that attitude began to change, and it is slowly getting better. I really don't need the stress of working in a prison camp. Oh am I ready for Change.

Adam Blanchard
11-09-2008, 12:24 PM
hahaha that sounds like most of the managers that I've had, especially back in baltimore. Luckily many people already think I'm mentally challenged or just insane so it would probably be fun.

I am the echo of your past... you are the shadow of another day... if you hear me talking on the wind, you've got to understand, we must remain "Perfect Strangers."
