Send some warm thoughts my way this weekend. We are going camping in the Manistee National Forest in Michigan. I just checked the weather forecast...5o's during the day, and 30's at night. I'm thinking of cutting a hole in my tent, teepee style, so I can have a fire. What do you think?

Dont feel bad, Im going on a cub scout camp, bare essential style!!! And its supposed to be cold too. Im excited though, ought to be fun!

it is a very nice tent, same design for over 30 years, replacement parts reasonably priced.

the camping sleeping wasnt so bad
blazing trails through a few feet of snow with extra fully loaded packs and snowshoes in near whiteout conditions was a bit taxing.

Holy Crap, winter camping. All the stuff I did with my son in Scouting, I never got used to it...it sucks!
