(NaturalNews) It seems that most people are finally awakening to the fact that it is not a good idea to blindly accept the manipulating lies with which we are daily brainwashed, particularly by the communications media. It is totally acceptable and sensible nowadays to be cynical and critical of any source of information, particularly when associated with politics, big business and the media.

The ‘information’ age has literally turned upon itself.

George Orwell in his prophetic book ‘1984’ said, “Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful... and give an appearance of solidarity to pure wind.”

Hitler’s propaganda henchman Dr. Goebells said, “If you tell people a big enough lie, often enough, they will believe it.”

Its so hard, how are people supposed to know the truth, how can you tell? You believe what you hear but anymore, it all seems to be a lie. People get comfortable with what they think is truth, even if they know its complete bullshit. Changing that mentality is harder then changing all the lies.

After this election I just want to turn off all radios, all news casts, all of it and just hole up for the winter ignorant and happy.

Yes, have you read Silent Spring?

"Silent Spring" no - The "Doors of Perception", and "Island", yes.
In "Brave New World" my eyes were opened to the fact that our societies are basically us running a program. Mustafa Mond was one of the 10 world controllers, he liked experimenting with peoples behaviors. Soma, Soma, Soma, made everything alright-no pain it also made everyone very open to the acceptance of behavioral programming. The Savage and Bernard, the assembly line of designer babies, the ministry of song, mind bending, eye opening piece of work. "Brave New World" changed the way I look at our world. Written in the 30's, and coming into fruition now.
