Olive oil is 99 percent pure renewable fuel, so it produces NO smoke or odor and can't aggravate allergies. Safe since it can't catch on fire if tipped over.

JuJu and I cook with canola oil and have kept jars of this stuff in the garage. I plan on converting my oil lamps to running off of them. Here are some DIY Projects.

REMEMBER: salt your wick.
To salt a wick
1. Take some dry wicking or a strip of cotton cloth.
2. Put the wicking in a bowl, add a little water and cake the wicking
with lots of salt and swirl it around a bit.
3. Dry the wick, use a tray and an oven on low if you are impatient.
Anyone have more advise to add?
