I picked-up a stailess water bottle a few months at the Natural Pantry. Carry my water in it to work. Everyone else uses the little plastic bottles. Tried talking my boss into getting a water cooler but he didn't go for it. I did get everyone to save the bottles, though, so now they're at least getting recycled.

I got 3 for my family a few months back, then I told my wife no more bottled water. We had been buying flats of the stuff, it got to the point where you'd pick up bottles around the house cuz the kids were "just getting a drink". wasteful habits.

closest thing I got to a water bottle any time recently was a 8oz flask about a year ago. Specifically for the purpose of sneaking some jagermeister in to a show. lol Let me tell ya, if your going to stuff it down your pants make sure you are wearing a thick pair of boxers or wrap it in a sock or something... mine still had frost on it when I stashed it. BRRRRRRRRRRR:(

Ever notice that you can order something ecologically sound, made from recycled materials by a fair trade business - and it comes in a virgin cardboard box with 3 pounds of advertising slicks packed in styrofoam peanuts and delivered by a 6-mile-per-gallon truck by a driver wearing polyester pants and plastic Nikes? :p
The least they could do is ditch the peanuts and slicks and reduce the amount of polyester they use. (http://cdn.davesdaily.com/pictures/211-upsgirl.jpg) Note, picture not safe for work, children, or the excessively religious.

dharma trading (where i get tie dye stuff from, as referenced in the video) does indeed use cardboard boxes for shipping, and they utilize the popular carriers, however they do use biodegradable packing peanuts. drop them in the water and they dissolve so wetland wildlife wont swallow them. probably not as environmentally friendly as packing your stuff in compost but its a start
and the waterbottle is still doing wel, a few dents and a few more stickers but its getting usead daily
