Does anyone else halluctinate while smoking weed? It seems that every time I close my eyes all these crazy images apear. They're very vibrant and real looking, some of them have been in 3D. Ive even seen a few things with my eyes open. Crazy! :D
Anyone else experience this?

Either you're extremely sensitive to the psychadelic experiences, you're very lucky in getting lots of marijuana with high concentrations of THCV (the psychadelic compound in marijuana that makes you trip) or other cannibinoids that cause psychadelic experiences, or you're unlucky and you're getting adulterated (chemicals added) marijuana (likely with a disassociative such as DXM or fermaldahyde).
This would explain your CEVs (closed eye visuals) and occaisonal OEVs (open eye visuals).
If you're getting obviously different strains of marijuana yet all of them cause CEVs and OEVs, you need to confront your distributor (or find a new one), because VERY few strains have high enough concentrations of THCV to cause hallucinations after smoking.
To answer your question, yes, I've experienced this. I've had a full out OBE (out of body experience). Currently, I'm trying to produce a strain myself with high concentrations of THCV. It was on the old board......

I know for a fact that the weed ive smoked has not been chemically altered, so I must be sensitive to psychadelic experiences like you said. I really enjoy the hallucinations and dont find them frightening or too powerful, they're usually very mellow and enjoyable. And it might not even be the weed by itself that causes this, ive been meditating for about two years and can induce an altered state of consciousness naturally without drugs. I think the weed just takes it much farther. It increases the experience of a natural altered state.
Another thing is when I lie down while stoned, I get this sensation like im spinning or traveling very rapidly, Its really extreme. Is this something you've experienced too?
Thanks for explaining THCV and the effects of different strains of weed to me. :)

Most people take psychoactive drugs to get high and have fun.
I take psychoactives for a multitude of reasons, one of which is consciousness expansion. There are many ways to go about this consciousness expansion, meditation, yogic-practices, et al are all means to the end. For me, it's entheogens. Acid, marijuana, mushrooms, peyote, salvia... With your background in meditative consciousness altering, I would say you are just really sensitive to the psychadelic experience. Most people do it the other way, they experiment with entheogens and THEN learn how to do it on their own. As I said on the old board, MOST people never even realize marijuana is a psychoactive - this is because MOST people never have a psychadelic experience with marijuana. Many people will find after venturing into more strongly psychadelic substances, such as mushrooms or acid, that when they come back to marijuana it is similarily psychoactive.
They're like keys to doors in your mind that have to be opened. I was able to open the door with just marijuana (that OBE was my FIRST psychadelic experience, scared the SHIT out of me at the time). You opened the doors with meditation. Once you open the door, you never forget about it - and you find no reason to want to close it, either!
Meh. Do yourself a favor and treat marijuana the way you treat your meditations. Both are sacred practices :)
As far as the spinning gyro feeling, I discussed this with a friend of mine. We both had it early on in our pot-smoking history, but eventually it totally passes out of you. However, if you take a long enough break, you can get it again, but it'll honestly never be the same as that first time - then, to be fair, I've never matched my first long years of NOT smoking, either, so maybe if I waited just as long I could have the spinning gyro thing just like I did when I first started smoking. As it is now, if I don't smoke for a couple months, I will having spinning-gyro a time or two when I resume, but that's it.

Another thing weed increases for me is my "auric vision" ( the ability to see auras). I dont see auras naturally, it took a lot of practise to be able to see color. I still am not that good at it, but when I smoke, its like I dont even have to try. The colors I see around someones head are three times as big and vibrant. Its very cool. :)
So far ive had the "gyro" experience every time ive smoked (I dont smoke often). Sometimes ill just sit down on my floor and completely loose myself in the sensation, like the room im in changes position and shape, or doesnt exist anymore.
Ive had psychadelic experiences before ive even tried weed, so those earlier experiences probably made me way more open to new and different ones. Ive never astral projected before, except for several lucid dreams which might be considered an OBE.
What is peyote like? Its a cactus right? Ive heard it can make you throw up at first.

I hallucinate occasionally, but nothing psychadelic yet. Really it's not even that much of a hallucination, more of a misinterpretation. Once when I was driving I saw a long snake slithering across the road ahead, but as I got closer it gradually changed into the yellow line going around a bend. Then another time when I was walking I saw a big dead dog on the side of the road, which was actually a smashed cardboard box. I wouldn't even mention these, but I normally don't misinterpret objects like that, especially when I'm staring straight at them.
Another experience I get often is after I smoke I can lay down on my back and close my eyes, and my whole body will start tingling and feeling paralyzed, it's really weird and scared me the first couple times. Now I enjoy it, and I'll make it a point to lay down. I'm fairly new to smoking weed (only started a couple months ago and I don't do it that often), but I hope this isn't one of those things that wears off.

I misinterpret things a lot too. It makes me feel stupid when I realize what it really is that im looking at, haha. :)

When, on the rare occasions I smoke now, I close my eyes, I sometimes see things. I never really thought of them as hallucinations, though -- more as waking dreams.

I've never hallucinated when I smoked pot but I know people who have.

Then you need some pot with some THCV or you need to open the keys to the doorway elsewise :). I can trip, mildly, on just about any bud if I put my mind to it, but I've worked on self-inducing the psychadelic state (much like Evil Hippie's meditations).

I had the weirdest thing happen several days ago. I smoked some with my brother and my cousin and we were sitting in my brothers room, they were playing video games and I was just sitting on the floor. Anyway, I was seeing images in the carpet! Its a blue kinda shaggy carpet and when I concentrated images would apear within the pattern of the carpet. It was so cool. Just thought id share. :)

That is really interesting delta, I was talking to my fiancee about it and we both have grown pot plants and mushrooms and never heard about this. Is there a place we can read up on it that you can suggest?

On self-inducing the psychedelic state? No. There's mystic cults and stuff that are into it, but I picked up my views and experiences as one big amalgam of bits and pieces from many different doctrines, including but not limited to hinduism and buddist beliefs. You could read The Psychedelic Experience (http://www.lycaeum.org/books/books/psychedelic_experience/tibetan.html), and tons of other books on the subject, which is helpful, but I believe everyone comes to their own conclusions and that is the best way :).

i trip but it isnt a harsh trip just enough to chill to. like for instance, i will put on my head phones and can tune out all but one instrument at a time! then i imagine them playing the music! i geuss its not really trippin, but more like im paying close attention, like my mind opens up when i smoke! its a total trip just thinking about it!

I see all kinds of things...lots of sort of spiritual things like choirs singing, angels, ...just stuff you'd associate with spirituality.
Another time I set out to find out what my totem animal was...I just sort of let myself drift..and then all of a sudden I started seeing deer. All kinds of deer. All the way from seeing Bambi cartoons, to seeing my dad's dead deer heads he used to hang on the wall (eew)..
I guess for me getting stoned tends to be sort of spiritual. And I see things that relate.
