No biggie, honest, just having a crappy kind of day is all.
Lots of hugs and all that other mushy stuff being sent your way. :hippie:

I appreciate them but really have no snazzy words or smart arse comments, just a few moments of silence and fond wishes to those who have, do, and will serve to protect our freedom.

I also appreciate all who serve; they're on all call 24/7 to defend and protect us and our freedoms. I have a son who just retired from the Army, after getting back from his second tour in Iraq; my son-in-law is over there now. Thanks for posting this.

I missed your post too.

Living in a military town, we know many veterans from a span of wars. We honor their service for defense and humanitarian efforts.

On a random note, I miss seeing the Navy guys walk down the streets here in those humongous white bell bottoms. Those were some serious pants. The Navy has trimmed down the cut - a shame.

Hey Graeh,
I was away yesterday too. Thanks for the incredible post. Hope you are feeling better as another of my perjudices, of which I am thoroughly ashamed, falls. Wouldn't have expected the post or the responses from a bastion of antidisestablishmentarianism. Just had to have the fun of spelling that. Come to think of it would that apply to my ilk or yours? "anti"-against. "dis"-against. "establishmentarian"-one who stands for the establishment i.e. "the man". "ism"-a belief. Hmmm...I think that's me!?!?

The point is 60s hippies were the ones who called my brother a babykiller and spit on the boys coming home in spite of thier supposedly peace philosophy. Glad you guys have dropped that.

Sometimes it's just better to not say anything at all and silently shake ones head.
Much love and respect coming your way sweet lady. :hippie:

May all fallen veterans find peace, and may no more die needlessly.

I've been away too....
But I spent a few moments in silence remembering those that have fallen and to give hope and light to us who can still make a difference in everything we say and do.
