So I wake up this morning to my kiddos in my bed, which is typical when I wake up late, and I run my fingers through my beautiful two year old hair, which I love to play with, only this morning 3 inch pieces come off in my hand! I roll over to see Mikey holding his little sissors and looking very proud of himself. Of course he knew better because he had done it to himself a couple of years ago but apparently it seemed like a good idea at the time. Luckily he had only cut off enough so that when I evened it up she had a cute little bob. His on the other hand he had gotten practically to the scalp but I usually buzz it about twice a year anyway so, oh well. :D

Anyway, from the people I've told it sounds like everyone has done it at some point. Anyone have any funny stories about their little ones first?:hippie:

hahahaha well, I have a really funny one of myself from when I was around 3 or 4. I grew up in a very mixed neighborhood and many if not all of my friends at that time were black so while Dad was at work I found some brown shoe polish and attempted to color myself. In hindsight I think it was rather amusing.. altho I'm not too sure what my Dad thought of it when he got home. lol

Oof..I had a bad flashback just now.

I was 7 or 8 ..and my grandmother came to visit me one weekend at summer camp. She said I looked scruffy and dirty. (and your point Grandma, is???????). Well, grandma had enough of that, and borrowed some plastic kiddy scissors from a counselor, and proceeded to give me bangs. Not cool feathery bangs either..but super short..practically sticking straight up in the air, crooked bangs.

I remember a boy I liked at camp saw me afterwards and said I looked stupid. I'm still scarred from this event.

Other than that- yup - I cut my hair at 3..big funny chunks on one side. And then again at 5 when I got gum in it, tried to hide that little tidbit of news, and tried to cut it out mah'self.

When I was 3 or 4 years old I took a pair of scissors and chopped off the front of my hair right to the scalp. I told my mom I wanted to look like Superman, (George Reeves) T.V.s being only the of the black and white variety and not the greatest picture quality. I was unable to tell he had his hair combed back.....ooops!

I tried cutting my own bangs when I was little, they ended up being about a quarter of an inch long and stuck straight up in the air. There was no fixing it but i'm sure it had to have been at least a little cute in kind of a goofball way, who knows :)
