We also have the largest prison industry of the world with only 5% of the planets population but 25% of the prisoners of the world ... we lock up one out of every hundred of our citizens.

Interesting articles, thanks for posting the links. Basically I'm anti-medication. That's not to say that I've never taken antibiotics, or given them to my children, but the doctor always had to prove to me that they were really needed. A doctor told me, in the 70's, that my daughter had ADD and needed to take Ritalin. I asked what dose she would start out on, how long he thought she would need to be on it, what side effects there could be, what the drug would accomplish, etc. He tried to badger me into giving it to her; I never did. My objective as her parent was to find a way to help her find a positive way to direct all that energy. Also, the side effects of thalidomide given to pregnant mothers and another drug that was found to be linked to cancer in young women whose mothers had taken the drug, can't remember the name of it, made me mistrust the drug companies. I never bought into the take a pill or cut it out logic, I mean lunacy.

I took Zoloft in August. Made me real mean. I only took it for a month. Now i have tinnitis and acid reflux. Now they are saying i'm bipolar. (Take the test...i'm sure you are bipolar too...) Now from a month of Zoloft i have latent aggression issues. Like i'm gonna snap any minute. I've never felt that way...ever before in my life...til i took Zoloft. Now they want to put me on Depakote...a mood stabilizer. I told them i smoke pot. A grate way to adjust my mood without harmful side effects. I've been smoking since i was 9, ok? I'm 33 now. They told me thats whats making me mean, not their precious ass Zoloft. Bull loney. I know my body very well thank you. I'm not taking their damn mood stabilizer. I'll pretend i am, but i refuse. I've already done enough research on this drug to figure out its not for me. And the dr. gave me 100 sample pills. I didn't have to pay a dime. Screw them.
