I have a t shirt that says morning wood, which I like!! :D
sorry I had to do it, I am so bored at work right now!!
but I make things out of willow and vines, just to keep with the wood deal.
arches, wreaths, things like that.

Hmmm....I restore furniture and turn found objects and cast aways pieces into liviable art.(I am such a dumpster diver ;) ). Not true woodworking, so I don't think it counts but I have always been interested in learning how.

Haha! Those are cool, Pedata :)
I do some woodwork on occasion, but I don't think it's on the level you're calling out to. The last piece I made was a wall mount for my banjo... fairly simple piece. I made the base shaped like the head of the banjo with two felt covered prongs coming out of the bottom to hold it. I've made tons of tables and shelves... I also built an exterior extension to my turtle aquarium a few months ago. A few years ago I dated a girl who's father owned a wood shop... he had a huge laithe (sp?), and a ton of scrap wood. I took 15 12" x 12" x 2" planks of different types of wood and sanded them smooth, then glued and pressed them together. I spun them on the laithe and carved out a really awesome djembe that I've yet to put a head on. The different wood types gave it beautiful color, and character!
If I had those kinds of tools I would be in heaven!!
