My little guy is almost 10 months old and I am just amazed at all of the things he is learning and accomplishing. Last week he learned pat-a-cake, stood on his own for the first time and he now dances when he hears music. While he loves all music he seems pretty partial to reggae. He is pointing at everything and "talks" while doing so. I just love him so much.
There really is no point to this thread, just that I am a happy mama and wanted to share a little bit of him with you.

My daughter Bunny is going to be 8 months on Saturday. Doesn't it go incredibly fast? It felt like the first four months dragged on and on and then the four were over in a snap. It's less work and more fun every day. I need fewer and fewer breaks and value my time with her more and more. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that I'm not completely sleep deprived anymore.

It's true it does go fast. I am so glad to hear that Bunny is sleeping for you. Does she sleep the whole night through? Sadly my son still does not. It's amazing what you get used to though. I wrote you a little something on your distracted thread, hopefully it helps.

She is sleeping the whole night through, but there have been a few changes. We were co-sleeping for her first 6 1/2 months, but then it became dangerous because she could sit up in her co-sleeper and she learned to stand early. We decided it was time to make the transition into her crib and her own bedroom. At first, she would cry whenever I put her down in her crib, so she ended up sleeping in our bed. I'd just have to go to sleep whenever she did. Then, she would let me put her in her crib for the first part of the night, but she'd wake up several hours later and want to come into bed with us. I didn't fight her and I just brought her into our bed. Now, she is sleeping through the night in her crib.

I think it's about security. She knows that if she gets up and wants to come into our bed, or if she has a nightmare than I'll come and get her. She's not afraid and doesn't feel anxious or abandoned, so she's relaxed enough to sleep.

I have a monitor on. The last few nights she's woken up in the night and not even made a sound. When I go into her room in the morning she's facing the other direction and her covers are kicked off

So cute!!!

Instead of nursing for a really long time before she goes to bed, I give her a bowl of cereal and then nurse just a little. It seems to keep her satisfied until breakfast!

She's also standing, dancing in place, saying "dada," "piggie" and "baby" in reference to her glow worm! She follows us around in her walker and eats just about everything we do. She crawls, but I've never seen her crawl backwards as some babies do.

Everyday she is more like a little person and less like a little critter.

It's amazing how much love you can feel for someone you've known less than a year!

Our youngest, who is 3, has started waking up late at night. He will stay up for hours. Sometimes this is fun, I make us some popcorn and we watch tv or a movie, sometimes it is not so fun, I try to take a test or do some homework, and he doesn't want to let me. I must say, his name fits him to a T, being named after the Norse God of Thunder, Thor. He can definitely raise a storm! ;)

Congrats Band-Aide. I bet you are very happy :D

I personally don't have children, but I do work as a teacher at a daycare. The children I take care of are 18 months- 3 years, and those little people amaze me everyday. From teaching them their colors, ABCs, and having them do different art projects everyday, I can watch them develop. And what one doesn't know one week, they will catch on the next. It was so cute the other day, b/c we had our first snow and we took the children outside and they thought snow was the greatest thing ever. My job seems very fulfilling... And when 5:00 comes around I can give the children back to their parents and go back to be single again :)
