I briefly saw something on the news earlier while leaving my ex-sis-in-law's house. Something about North Korea and nuclear weapons...Anyway, Mr. Red says that China would probably back them up if we got into it with them. What I want to know is who the hell let North Korea become a player game of life here? I mean, that is like going to war with Jamaica. I know this probably doesn't make sense, but my mind has a tendency to go over every possibility in any situation, so I am just thinking about things here. But seriously, isn't Texas bigger than North and South Korea? Ok, I know...I am rambling. And slightly irritated. Can you tell?

Yes, I have heard this, too.
China probably has been helping them along all the while.
I assume we have all read 1984. It is nearly happening, people.
We've nearly got the United State of America.
We've got the European Union.
Soon we'll have the Asian faction.
Nothing in Africa, as Orwell predicted, because we all keep the African nations down.
Two of the factions (America and Europe) are set to war one of the factions (Asia).
Control of the masses for the benefit of a few.
It is not too late, yet. We can still save ourselves.

You all realize of course, technically we're still at war with Korea.

I learned that somewhere, probably in history class. North Korea was more of a threat than Iraq, although the Bush ad. wouldnt let THAT fact be known. The war in iraq was oil based & greed driven. i find it funny that Bush refered to iran, iraq, and north korea as the axis of evil b/c there is no evidence, to my knowledge, that ties the 3 together. If he is trying to compare his "axis of evil" to the real Axis of WWII, then he is gravely mistaken. Germany, Italy, & Japan were working together.
btw, I've heard some interesting things about dubya's wealth & family. Google search Prescott bush & see what you find about the family & Nazi's. Happy hunting :)

all of this hype is stemming from a statement that north korea released a few days ago...basicly, north korea wanted a one on one sit down with the US and we denied them, saying that nuclear weapons are a regional problem and that they would have to participate in th standard six-party meetings if they wished to communicate with us. they wanted this meeting to resolve what they call the 'nuclear issue', and also to clear up any hostility our government may have toward them. they also felt the standard six-party meetings were a hostile environment to meet with us, at least until a private meeting has taken place. they also stated that they would use their nuclear weapons if they had to in self-defense, which i think everyone is taking a bit too seriously, and its leading to some who havent kept up with the news to see it as a threat. our government thrives on the fear of its citizens though.
personally, i see no problem with their request for a one on one meeting, and i dont see why our government would either, especially if we expect to co-exist with other nations peacefully. generally, communication is a crucial part of foregin relations... but what our good 'ol prez may see as communication seems to be barging into other countries without attempting to resolve anything in a civilized fashion.

Technically, we were still at war with Iraq, as well. We simply signed a cease fire which was never upheld.
In that sense, this recent "War in Iraq" was just continuing conflict from Desert Storm.
