Collages- Cut pictures and letters out of magazines. Glue them on either posterboard or an opened up paper bag. I'm not sure how old your son is, you might want to cut them out ahead of time ;)
Blowing bubbles- one quarter cup of detergent, powder or liquid. Two teaspoons of sugar. 9 tablespoons of cooking oil. Mix it all together and add a few drops of food coloring. Then add one and three quarter cups of water. Shake it to dissolve the sugar. If you don't have a wire blower use straws or thread spools. I know it's not exactly a craft, but it's fun for outside in nice weather.
Play dough- 3 cups of regular flour, 1 and a half cups of salt, 1 and a half cups of water, 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, food coloring. Mix everything except the food coloring. If it's too sticky add some more flour. Seperate it into several parts and add just a bit of food coloring to each one. Whatever colors you want :)
All I can come up with now.
Peace,
Cassandra

Libra--
How old is your son? I can give you some age appropriate craft ideas if I knew his age. I am a daycare teacher for 3 different age groups. I take care of toddlers, preschool, and pre-K. If you want to find some pages for him to color, google "coloring pages" (and if he likes a certain cartoon character put the name in the search). You can get a bunch of pages to color for you little one for free! And when I print off copies, I use old papers that I don't need and put the printed side on the back part of the copier. That way I am reusing paper.

Edit: Or why not build a kite there are a lot of different constructions depending upon how hard u want it to be,make it colorful.

You can make some bird feeders, one with an empty 2 liter, and roll a pinecone with Peanut butter, and roll it w/ bird seed. We are making piggy banks with empty pop bottles. You paint the bottle pink and fashion a pigs face, feet, and tail with whatever you have around the house. You can put a slit on top and it is all finished! I will look @ other ideas from my book. (BTW, it is dental week so maybe you can make something pertaining to dental hygiene).

Yeah and if your kid gets good enough he could make a living out of it. Check this guy (http://www.origami.as/home.html) out.

The iceflyer idea is something Iīve been thinking of building myself thatīs why I thought about it,u can build it small or big for the whole family.
If u donīt want it to go fast u use a smaller sail.
U tie it to u with a rope an travel behind with skates an if it goes to fast u break it doesnīt have to be dangerous(edit:for uīr kid).
An itīs a great toy.
