the world around us is full of comcepts
and perceptions not all of them bad
but not all of them good
just ideas nothing concrete
does a foot exist?
or is a "foot" the concept of
the thing we rest our weight upon?
is there an ultimate reality?
or are there only points of view
knocking and banging into each other?
are we asking the wrong questions
while the right ones have yet to be spoken?

thoughts?

That makes me think of a part of a Bob Dylan song-

In the dime store and bus stations
People talk of situations
Read books repeat quotations
Draw conclusions on the wall.....

It makes me think of the intro to philosophy class I took my freshman year of college.

Touches upon perception and perspective, I have no objection because it's all subjective!

maybe an answer to my questions
yes i think there is an ultimate reality
but no one can understand or comprehend
what that is until fully enlightened
like the Buddha was although
certain questions like
why are we here and
what is our purpose can never be answered
except by us individually
we are the ones who make those decisions
we give our lives purpose and meaning
words, perceptions, concepts, and ideas
these our just ways our mind tries
to comprehend the magnitude and enormity
of the universe and the world around us
lose your preconceived notions and
prejudiced opinions and look at the facts
never stop questioning especially
those who have the power
because power corrupts and
absolute power corrupts absolutely

thats my rant for the moment. any thoughts? some of this is based on studying buddhism.
