its e-mail done by google, its not too much different from other mail accounts, but you get alot of space and it does have some neat features that other e-mail providers don't.

Gmail requires that you have Active X operating. Doing so leaves you wide open to intrusions: malware, adware, trojans, etc.

most e-mail providers do, or a variation of sorts. if you have adequate virus and spyware protection you are more than ok. i have norton antivirus, ad-aware, spyware blaster, and spybot search and destroy... on top of the virus and spy protection that comes with my internet and e-mail. i've never had problems with gmail.

Works fine on systems without ActiveX (*n?x). But gmail is pretty creepy (http://www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com) :rolleyes:
