Yay, We are the Majority and Majority Rules......Just trying to tempt any hunters out there, who might want to argue the health benefits of Bacon.
The Other week I saw a can of cat food that said "Roast Beef", now try to imagine what it would look like to see a domestic cat take down a cow. I also watched someone cutting into a roast, (Half my Family Eats Meat) and I'll tell you what, it's like they are eating wood. Only wood would be easier to digest. If it Gets Bigger Than I do, I will not Eat it. My body wasn't meant to, I'm sure. whether we survived that way for thousands of years or whatever, have we not progressed? are we still struggling for survival. Most of the People who eat this stuff, have no idea what goes into the raising and killing of these animals. If you told them to slaughter a pig so they could have bacon, they would probrably faint or freak out. On top of that, the process of killing it would turn most sheltered people into born again Vegans. At least until they made it back to the safety of their Grocery Store, Where they could once again forget the reality of these animals sacrifice.
I'm guilty too though, I love Abalone and Dungeness Crab, With Garlic Butter. Yum.....somebody complain about the mass harvesting of abalone that lead to them being a protected species....it is a delicacy and a special treat enjoyed once in a Great While in our home.
Raw Oysters with Lemon Juice and Hot Sauce, and a cold beer.

I know it's nothing that you don't already know, sometimes it just feels good to say it.

I totally hear ya poppy!!! I cant say I am total anything, if I want yogurt I eat it, If I want a glass of milk I drink it, it I want chicken on my salad I get it. But I always try to make sure its organic, and if its meat that I know where it was raised and how, and who slaughtered it etc.. theres a few organic free range farms around here and its getting bigger and bigger!!! But for the most part I eat veggies and mycoproteins, rarely meat.

I agree, I am not Here to Judge People On What they Eat, I cook Meat for my Husband whenever he wants.....But Knowing where it comes from, and that it was loved and respected is a great thing....and a rare one today.
If it was raised well, there should be no need for antibiotics.....So sad so sad.....advertising is key in my mindset....has anybody seen the chef boyardee Ravioli Commercial or the Foster Farms Commercials.....they are basically telling people that what they are feeding you is Garbage, yet people eat it....without a second thought. no better than dog food....I buy tuna for my kitty cat.

I can honestly Say I could never be a complete vegan, due to my love for Dairy.....Yogurt and Cheese.....I think I could live without most of the flesh.....but I could never completely give up Dungeness Crab. Nor would I want to. I feel like alot of times because people know I will sometimes eat birds and such, that they always try to cook them for me.....I would most times rather just eat the side dishes, and worry about my b's elsewhere.
When I met my Hubby I hadn't eaten Meat on a sandwich in years, and I didn't drink caffeine.... cut to now, I haven't had a complete veg sandwich in years, and I drink coffee like water.....my favorite sandwich used to be Cucumber and Carrots with Provolone from Konas in Chico Ca. Yum....I don't think they make that one anymore, but it was sooooo Good. If you ever have a chance, try one.....thinly sliced length wise....

I have great respect for those who can go mostly vegitarian and those that can go full vegan, good for ya. As for me tho.. I'm a slave to the flesh and would probally have fun slaughtering an animal. Consider it the freak in me, but I could never be a hunter. I refuse to dress in bright orange and putting deer pee on myself ( :p ) but I have an issue with hunting seasons. Deer season you hunt deer, bear season you hunt bear, ect..ect.. BUT you can not hunt tourists during tourist season. I find this to be horrible and contradictory.

lmao.. I couldn't help that one... but it's true. :bat:
