We all know that in the next few days we will be witnessing a monumental event with the conversion of analog to digital television broadcasts. If anyone here who has a television, you've seen the commercials over and over, and yes, over again. Some of us (like me) have made the switch long ago, and some are waiting to the last minute. But what about camping or emergency situations?
Personally, I usually take a radio with me when camping. But, we have one of those combo tv/radio/weather band/flashlight things that we received as a wedding gift that has been useful in power outages. The problem is the unit has an analog receiver built-in. But now with the digital conversion, how do you get television signals if you are out of power?
Have no fear. I found this to be a very informative way to remedy that problem: Watch A Battery TV With A Converter Box (http://www.digitaltvtrainer.com/national/showme-battery-tv-converter) There is only one or two battery powered converters on the market, so why wait? Build one for yourself, it's cheaper.
