So...what is everyone doing for Christmas gifts this year?
I decided to get the kids involved as much as possible so we are making cookie dough and then we're going to freeze it in cookie sized scoops so that our family and friends can have a fresh, warm batch of cookies without all the mess and clean-up. :D I found a bunch of beautiful, old cookie tins at the Goodwill so we're going to package them in those, which means no wrapping, which is great because I suck at wrapping.

Gread idea! Sounds yummo!!
My family draws names, I got my brother and he LOVES eggplant parm, so Im making him a gift basket with home made spaghetti sauce, pasta and some premade homegrown eggplant parm in some sort of container I havent figured that one out yet? Its frozen so maybe I will just give it to him after so he can stick it in his fridge?
Friends are all getting hand knit scarves, homegrown/wildcrafted tea, home made lotion, and hand made lip balm.
Its fun and alot of work thats for sure!!
I suck at wrapping too, I found a bunch of old material, so im going to wrap in that, or bundle it all up?
Lets get crafty :hb:

Oh, Libra! That sounds awesome! I haven't tried lotions or creams yet but I'm really looking forward to it. Have you found any herbal ideas that work well for guys? Everything I have thought of seems kind of girly.;)

I know, thats how I feel too. I do have some guy friends that drink tea, so that was ok. But no lotions or lip balms. I am making some salves also and there a good guy gift, for cuts and scrapes. Or some herbal jellies would work. It is way harder to fit it in with guys isnt it.
The lotion is awesome, I will never buy lotion again!! Plus you can add whatever scent you want or no scent which smells good too! And it was incredibly easy to make, cleaning the blender when I was done was not so easy...but it eventually came out.

My daughter is making pot holders..haha..remember the kind where you use stretchy rings of fabric on the metal loom and weave it? Everyone is getting one of those. I actually want to make those with her.
Otherwise, I have a good supply of blueberry/blackberry jams ready from a bountiful August.
I will bake some breads..
and I may make some ornaments this year. I'm thinking owls. Not sure why, other than I like owls. :)

We are staying home and enjoying a home grown chicken that I'll be smoking lightly then stuffing and baking. Plus whatever vegetables we have around and maybe a pie.
We're going to decorate a little, but all in all Christmas will be a quiet event.
HUGS and Happy Holidays to All, whichever holiday you celebrate.

I used to love those potholders! I can't tell you how many I made a kid. :D I'll have to get one of those for my munchkins.
