Im on my second session and let me tell you, I love it!!! The first session was amazing, afterwards I felt like I could climb mt everest, I couldnt stop smiling, so much energy it was incredible !!!!!!! My second session was today and I feel great, just as energized. My eyes feel opened! I wake up with more energy too, havent had a cup of coffee in 2 weeks!

I went because I suffer from tmj, and have a headache everyday, Im so used to it anymore that it doesnt bother me. Well recently they have gotten worse, the pain travels through my neck, shoulders, down one arm into my hand. I sit at a desk all day so I attributed it to that, the numbness in my hands and arm. But I looked into acupuncture and thought what the hell give it a try. My arm isnt cured Im pretty sure Im gettting carple tunnel or something like that, but iI havent had a headache since, no jaw aches either!!! Amazing.

My energy is flowing like it should be, Ive got 2 more sessions, once a week, and I should be good to go after that.

Anyone else have it done, good or bad experience?

I've never lived where it was available. I am very familiar with its cousin, acupressure/shiatsu. It works, but I wasn't taught the kind that eases; what I was taught was how to get an injured person back on his feet, and damn the pain. Works mostly on "charlie horse" injuries, but it can be helpful if you have to set a broken bone in the field as it forces the muscles to relax. I've worked on other martial artists, myself (when I can reach the injury and have both hands free), my wife (who suffers terribly at times from muscle spasms), and my son when he wrestled. I "defrogged" a muscle for him one night after practice and he said "Dad, you don't do shiatsu. You do combat shiatsu. I have to decide first if the cure is worth the pain of the treatment."

Now, as my older neighbor would say "I told you that so I could tell you this" ;) ... I believe in acupuncture - but to hit those tiny targets with a tiny needle takes not only some serious training in anatomy, but also requires "the gift", and it blows my mind to imagine how it's done. I greatly admire those who do it well and appreciate the good they do with it.

I wish I had a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner nearby, I suspect their whole-person approach is the key to good health when we are in less than perfect condition.

Glad it's helping, Denise.

It did help, but I feel back to the same now. My headaches arent as frequent but since I stopped going they have returned. My arm is the same as well. But it did work. I think Ive got to start working from the inside out, yoga is on the agenda too. That will help.

She was so nice and while I was there recieving accupuncture it was amazing, I could feel the difference instantly. I jsut cant afford to go as often as Id like.

Have you ever had reiki done? I was in NC last year and had a woman who heals horses and does rieki on them, and people as well, well she did rieki in me and holy moly, it was nuts. She put her hands on me and they felt like fire, she moved the pain in my head down my shoulder and out my finger tips, I could feel the heat and pain shoot out my fingers. It was a truely amazing experience. She had healing hands beyond a doubt!!
