Skinny Hippy here,
I've lost over a third of my body weight and it ain't coming back. Please PM or email me any fattening recipes you may have and I'm still a carnivore despite living with two laco-ovo veggies so you can send me anything except I'm allergic to beans and raspberries.
Thanks
Lois

Fry things in lard. It's fattening and delicious, lol.

Cass,
I have a little problem there, digesting fats even with eating yogurt AND acidophilus capsules is a battle.
One reason I'm skinny is repeated bouts of systemic candida and its affected my digestion, but I do have Mum's donut recipe and a pig coming for REAL lard, so I'll give it a try.

If you can qualify for government food subsidies, almost everything they typically offer is fattening because their idea is to distribute calories at low costs. Go heavy on fats and simple carbs and look for high caloric content, but don't forget to include enough fiber to stay "regulated".

Yes, I get a diet allowance on my disability check and we have a really great Food Bank here as well.
Roughage and fibre are a bit of an issue at the moment as I have no teeth, good thing I like bran muffins, those help with regularity.
I have a really quick metabolism too, so anything I eat gets burned off right away practically. I haven't been OVER-weight since I was 19!
I'm trying the eat a little often theory and that seems to help, but if I'm angry or unhappy I can't eat, my stomach ties itself in knots and that happens too often around here.
Cest la vie, I will survive.

Day lilies. Great fiber. They grow everywhere and all parts of the plant are edible. The flower pods taste like snap peas. When opened, the petals taste like nothing, lol. If you dehydrate the petals then they taste smoky sweet. Really good.
About two pods, or a couple of inches of leaf, will unclog the most clogged up person. They're used in Japan a lot, and have been for some time.
Oh, and they are loaded with iron.
Mine are coming up and I'm already nibbling. When the pods form I'm going to try them battered and deep fried.

Do you have a source for raw milk? That would be good too!!
I have the opposite problem, I look at food and it goes right to my a$$!!!!

I'm going to get a goats. In the meantime I'm using lots of cream, milk, butter, cheese and stuff. I've gained a little weight but I have been busy cleaning and will run it off in the garden.
I also got some new vitamins and those are definitely helping my energy level.
AND I cut back my anxiety meds as they were suppressing my appetite, now I'm too nervous to drive so I'm waiting for Roly to come home to take me shopping.
My denturist skipped town and taking my badly fitting dentures anywhere else will cost me a mint of money to get them fixed. I'm going to get a small Dremel and do it myself as its mostly a matter of edges that are too long and dig in to the top and bottom of my mouth, Rick has the same problem because the same guy made his dentures.
Teeth will make the biggest difference, gumming everything is difficult and I've nearly choked on something a couple of times because I couldn't gum it enough!
