the forum could be called 'the arts' or something like that, a title that would generalize it a bit more. after all, none of us want to become dizzy looking at a list of 20 sub-forums.

I can deal with 20... It's when it starts heading to 200 that I get concerned (a la hipforums). :rolleyes:

But it's best to keep related things in the same forum and generalize it to keep the pace up, rather than have many small sub forums with not so much action, in my opinion.

I have noticed this board is hard to navigate.

A few days ago I offered the hippie staff the use of my servers to help out and I even offered to Build them a better board, No charge either. It’s a pretty good deal; I could understand if the don’t trust me; they don’t even know who I am.

If I set up a board will ya’ll come and play or at least visit?

I think I have completed most of the page. I will need some help; Pedata and RockyJay would you like to help moderate?

The Webpage Is taken5.com and I tried to consider everyone and I am sure we will add more. It has a place For poems, short stories, it has a forum (I think I organized it correctly?), A photo gallery, Polls, News Feed, Calendar, and all of the resources are usable and customizable by the members (which is free). All of which is organized right on the front page. I am working on an Arcade, Chat room, an (ebay type) Auction script only no fees.

Delta 9 I even made a place for you, you are one smart dude.

I even put a link to happyhippie.com and will offer again to fix up their page.

God just went back for a revisit... Some of those subforums :rolleyes: Bunch of 12-15 year olds fighting. It's pretty pathetic :(

There are definately some good people there, I am sure, but for the most part (to my limited viewing), it is full of a bunch of lame kids :/

I used to go there, maybe 50 posts worth. There were some good people. I tried, but sheeeeesh! Too many whiney kids complaining about parents, life, everything. I guess they thought it was a psychiatrist's office. And it's just tooooooooo big. Like one of those supercenter walmarts :eek:

I used to write on hipforums boards four or five years ago.

The vibe there was bad.

It was all about who could out-hippie who. It's about the scene. The scene (to me) is boring. It's something I did when I was 16, which is why there are a lot of too-cool-for-school teens there pushing around all the less patchy, less dreadie kids.

I specifically remember there being a big bashing fight on one particular girl who posted a photo of herself and her dreads. Well, I guess no one felt that her dreads were "done right," plus she was a little bit overweight and not so fortunate in the facial feature department, which made everyone feel as tough she should be "put in her place" and made to feel worthless. That's about the point when I realized I didn't want anything to do with the hipforums.

Maybe it's changed. Idunno. I haven't been back since. But, when all that stuff was going on with FF I suggested she go there because it DOES have a lot of young people and I thought it was more her speed.

It still seems a lot like that, to me. I had some 15 year old call me retarded... And then two posts later he asks for clarification on what I was talking about because he didn't know what I meant - probably used to people clamming up and going quiet when he calls them names rather than responding intelligently and turning it around on him. This was like 5 posts into my time there. I did not feel at all welcome or that my time there was worthwhile - and my time is money, damnit.

It seemed to me very much like a repeat of High School and I served my time.
