Young and Awkward

Hey, Hey please look at me, I'm young clumsy and awkward, face full of acne
My parents always gotta work, so there is'nt much to do. I'll sit around my bedroom, I'll contemplate my gloom.
How come they don't like me? I'm cool, I'm funny, I'm Smart. It hurts when youre not included. Can't you see me Damn it, I've got feelings! You always break my heart.
It would be cool to ride up front, but hey I'll take the back.....I-I-I wont say a word...I swear. I just wanna know what you guys talk about....what you laugh about... you wont even know I'm there.
If only I had the chance, then everyone would see. That though I'm young clumsy and awkward, I'm pretty good at being me.

awsome, i am a teen so it means so much. i wish people could see even if they are young clumsy and weird they are who they are and should accept it. not try to be someone they are not. i went through that stage and now i am realizing what my soul realy wants. to be natural and free :hippie: .

your poem reminds me of one of my favorite shows i used to watch when i was about 16, "my so-called life". it was short lived, as many good shows tend to be, but i was a loyal fan. i identified with the main character so much. thanks for bringing back a fond memory! :)
