I have ALOT of poems.. don't worry, I won't post them all here... but here's one I love that I wrote quite a few years ago...
I dream I went to Heaven
And you were there with me
We walked along the streets of gold
Beside the crystal sea
We walked through the clouds all day
And under the stars at night
Our shoulders bumped and you took my hand
Comfortingly holding it tight
We laughed, we talked
You listend as I cried
You wiped my tear and hugged me
As I told you how I died
You took a breath and smiled at me
And told me "It's okay."
"It's in the past," you said. "Look towards the horizon,
For it's dawning a new day"
I have ALOT more... but here's another one I wrote around that same time.. following a trend?
Just when you thought all hope was lost
You find there's one more bridge to cross
You hope it will bring you to a new life
Leave bheind all the pain, suffering and strife
But who do you carry that bag of bricks for?
For you? For me? Forever more?
Throw down those bricks of guilt and shame
Nobody here knows your name
That bridge right there will take you away
So go ahead and cross it - go start a new day
