One of my dogs is really sick. She has been epileptic most of her life, and after a very near death last year when she went into a seizure for about 40 minutes she finally went on medication for it. From that episode, she had an extremely intense heat stroke with a 110 degree fever, and she had small amounts of organ damage. The meds somewhat controlled her seizures, but she's still having them about once a month.

Just within the past month, she started throwing up every day. And within the past 2 weeks, she couldn't keep anything down, not water, and not even her seizure medication. She had 4 seizures within 24 hours just yesterday. Through x-rays we just got today, we found out she has something called Megaesophagus. Her esophagus has enlarged about 6 X the size of a normal dog's esophagus. Basically her swallow muscle doesn't exist anymore, and the scphincter (spelling??) between her esophagus and stomach is not working, so anything that goes in, comes right out.

She's spending the day/night in the emergency clinic today, getting professional care, and intravenous nourishment. She has lost 15 lbs since her last vet check up in december. It's really hard to see her go through all of this, I love this dog with all my heart, if you could meet her you would instantly fall in love with her! She just has that amazingly pure and innocent, kind heart. She doesn't deserve to go through any of this!!

I'm here to just ask all of you if you wouldn't mind to please just carry around as much love and positive energy with you, and send out for those healing spirits so my puppy doesn't have to suffer anymore. You're all amazing people, and I know with your help, everything will be fine.
thank you!

This breaks my heart.l

We just went though something awful with our Italian Greyhound, Sidney. She had an absess the size of a golf ball on her anal gland. She was on pain killers around the clock and all we were supposed to do was let it explode through her skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :bawl: :(

She couldn't walk and every time she moved she'd scream with pain.

A day after our original vet appointment we took her back and told them we weren't comfortable with the amount of pain she was in. He was then able to lance it and she was back to herself within an hour. It's been over a week now and she's just fine.

I hope your situation has a happy ending as well.

I send youo all my lovin' energy!

Thank you soooo much for your thoughts, kindness and love.

Bandaide, I'm so happy to hear your dogs all better! It hurts so much to see them suffer, and i'm reallllly glad that it all worked out for sidney :)

Twilight's still at the hospital, she had 2 more seizures today :(
They have her sedated on valium, on antibiotics for a slight case of pneumonia, antiacids for her esophagus, and an IV of both nutrients and her seizure medication. Poor thing must be zonked. I hate that amount of drugs in her :(

Thank you so much for being here for us, you're all appreciated so much.
