Pollen does not stay viable for very long; putting it in a freezer as-is might even hasten its demise.

If you store it in a dark, cool place when completely dry, you may keep it for 3 or 4 days, but pollen is highly susceptible to mold. If completely dry, you can store in low humidity at freezing or deep freezing for a month or two, maybe longer.

MOLD! Awww man.. How the heck can I package this pollen for other patients?

I have been testing with freezing; but have had little luck past 1 week.

(Is this because it is in the same freezer as the beer; You know light = mold thingy?)

I have had better luck with hermaphrodite pollen up to 2 weeks! And all female seeds!

Here’s what I do; I up root the male plant and snap the top off then put it in a vase until it produces pollen, not much on the light, now I just keep it next to the computer, and they drink about 1 pint of H2O per day; and produce about ¼ gram male pollen per day. TONS!!!!!!!!!!

Any suggestions on how to make the crap last longer?

P.S. DO not use the same pollen from a hermaphrodite on the same strand or plant… Bad, bad, bad, no clone will make it and if it does it will hermaphrodite every time. (only from experience not fact)

I have had several queries about drying skuff properly before making it into hash for long term storage. Using a desiccant is a simple way to do this.

not flower pollen of keif, but male pollen, hard question I know.

I know, read further on:
2) Pollen kept in a very low humidity environment at near freezing or deep frozen will keep for months if not longer.
For pollen to be stored neat, large plastic drinking straws cut into lengths one end sealed by melting the other end plugged with cotton wool are pretty good. I prefer to add extenders only when the pollen is going to be used, and never before putting pollen into storage.

Kif is trichomes and small plant matter, it is not any kind of pollen. :) The dessicant merely applied to all three :)

Pollen has no more THC in it than seeds... I for one am not smoking any pollen :D

I did not think male plants had any THC in them.

and I would not want smoke any part of a male plant. but I love making my own seeds!

I just thought there might be a way to make it keep longer than 24 hours. or 1 week in the freezer.
