WOW!...

I did not intend to do any of the above!

Is this what we call "Hippie" no a days?

this makes me sad, I have weird views, and yes am “mentally ill” with a 145 IQ well 150 on the harder math quiz but I only get that test 1 out of every 10-15.

I stopped taken my meds because I thought the government was controlling me with the placebo needed to create the pill. I am supposed to take 4 different pills, I have decided to smoke with my medical note and that is all I do. I really have no friends now and it seems my odd “wacko views” are not accepted any where. I have learned enough to know that I don’t know shit, and this is how I am learning, my brain has been locked in a program and pills for years and now I am free! I have my own company and I have a degree in computer science. But no body likes me, even the hippies who love everyone.

All I can say is the good that came out of this was delta9, thank you for my new virus friend.. P.S. to all you “lamerz” (a word not a name) Virus is a person.

Thank you and goodnight If you want to talk to me you can post at taken5.com even if your just coming in to tell me how mean an judgmental I am. Because that is what taken5.com is all about. The View of the insane (another word not a name)

Thank you and goodnight!

PEACE_FROG, normally when I take them I am between 135 and 150, depending on the day and the test type, though occasionally I've scored below 135 - I've never done a "real" one, though, just these online ones, so I never know how much is smoke blowing up my ass because they want me to pay for their full intelligence profile or get tutoring to raise my score, and so on and so forth.

According to iqtest.com, I am right now just shy of Genius at 140... Here is their scale:

40 - 55 Severely challenged (Less than 1% of test takers)
55 - 70 Challenged (2.3% of test takers)
70 - 85 Below average
85 - 115 Average (68% of test takers)
115 - 130 Above average
130 - 145 Gifted (2.3% of test takers)
145 - 160 Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)
160+ Extraordinary genius
*shrug*

Neverneverland; for clarification, I hooked him up with a friend of mine whose nick is "Vyrus", so, yeah, I hope it works out for both of them.

Kermit, I guess if you gotta go, you gotta go, no one can make that choice but you. Good luck, and I'm sorry you did not feel yourself welcome here :(

I scored 128 :)

143 here...and I can't spell to save my butt and I'm relatively computer illiterate... ;)

not to mention forgetful...

Thanks for the test link, Delta. For the record, my score seems to match a "real" test given to me when I was in grade school where they didn't tell me the actual number but they told me what percentile I was in. That seems to fit the descriptions given at the site.

Hmm...gives new credence to the "fine line between genius and insanity" phrase. I often think I'm a bit insane... :ufo:

Hmmm...

Well, I guess I'm not the smartest apple in the orchid.

The only iq test I've ever been give, I scored 117 on. I was in first grade. My parents took me to a child psychologist because I had low self esteem and day dreamed too much.

I suspect I was really depressed as a little kid, actually. I remember thinking that no one liked me.

And now I've got the idea for a new thread... I just have to figure out how to word it!

Love,

Kermit.
I'd be going to your forum from time to time.
Good luck with your new friend Vyrus.

I got a relatively high score, but I don't feel smart at all. Maybe I just got lucky that time?

Bandaide,

I think IQ tests drastically favor those with logical, concrete, scientific intelligence. I do NOT think IQ tests adequately represent the kind of intelligence you have which is more ethreal..more creative.

I think creativity is more valuable than concrete ability. You can make new thoughts, new theories. In short, you can think for yourself.

Whereas I simply regurgitate what others have learned.

Sure...mechanically I can fix pretty complex machinery and evaluate building systems. But you can write circles around me.

Who has more value to society as a whole? I think you do because you can enlighten people. You can inspire people. You can inspire change in the world. Whereas I just make buildings comfortable.

Hey, I'm no brain surgeon either. In fact I didnt know what the score meant until Delta posted it. I felt comfortable with the logic questions, so youre right, maybe....I dunno...See ? ;)

Idunno, Kath! You certainly don't seem to have a tough time thinking for yourself from where I'm sitting!

I guess the grass is always greener! I'm married to this super pragmatic person. He's a very talented musician, but I think it's mainly because so much of music involves math. He just is fascinated by things that I find stifling to even hear about.

Yet, it creates a really neat balance because when combined, we have all these things to contribute to our life together. I guess it can go one way or the other. You are either amazed and enlightened by people who have dissimilar strengths, or you are really, really aggravated and annoyed by them! Ha! I've experienced both.

Peace!

thanks for the link delta :)

i took the test and scored 138, which honestly didnt surprise me too much considering i've taken 2 other formal IQ tests in my life and the results i got today are damn near identical to the ones i've recieved in the past. i even smoked before i took it.

It really varies from test to test and day to day, I think... Some days you're just not up to snuff for the test at hand. :)

My score was 145, which is quite surprising to me. I don't know, but I feel so "uneducated" or even dumb compared to most people who post here. I think people here all seem so intelligent with their words and ideas. I simply possess NO CREATIVITY and I feel inadequate sometimes when I don't even understand some of the topics that are being discussed. Hmmm, just doesn't make any sense. I admire all of you for your artistic abilities and your knowledge. I have definitely learned alot around here just reading everyone's posts. The best things I ever created were my children. That, I am good at. :D

That's exactly what I'm getting at...those of us who have maybe concrete, mechanical, scientific skills score better on those iq tests...when in real life, those who express themselves well but may not have the scientific skills, will score lower.

But those who express themselves well, to me, always come off as more intelligent.

I don't have a whole lot of creativity, myself...although every now and then I get a flash of inspiration.

"... a tractor trailer carrying a large iron beam got thoroughly wedged under a highway overpass causing a major bottle neck.

experts of all ranks and types soon converged on the scene to solve the problem. people from the area came to watch and comment. much discussion. cut up the beam and vehicle? it would take too long. taking out a chunk of the overpass would cause damage that would be expensive to repair. they couldn't figure out how move it. the experts were stumped.

a little local girl, who had been watching the proceedings, approached the assemblage of adults and stood, quietly studying the stuck vehicle. a frustrated engineer saw her and gruffly asked 'what do you think?'

the little girl answered him. 'let some air outta the tires.' ..."

true genius can come from anyone. it's all in how you look at. :)
