has anyone been through st. paul/minneapolis international airport? i've been doing some reading and it might actually be safer to fly with my smoke as many airports dont check carry-on luggage with drug dogs, like if i stored it in a jar of moisturizer and threw it in my bag or something... i havent been through that airport, so if anyone has, please tell me as much as you can about the security!!

Well, I have been through there, but I didn't reply as I wasn't carrying and so, I didn't pay attention to the security enough to be able to reliably say one way or the other.

I really can't remember much about it except that I've never taken a flight that ORIGINATED from there..usually I go through Chicago or Madison. When I'm in MPLS/HHH airport, I'm not dealing with security as I'm already on the "right"side of the gate.

Kath

Sorry I wasn't more help.

Same general advice as travelling through any other aiport (http://www.happyhippie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=343) applies. Regardless, it's much safer to send through the mail (http://www.happyhippie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=621).

just thought i'd update everyone since i've just gotten back. i honestly thought security was a joke. i carried it through, but i might as well have shoved it in my pocket or bra. the farthest they went with anyone there was wanding them, and you only get patted down if the wand goes off. you only get wanded if the metal detector goes off. there wasnt a dog in sight. i quickly found out the dogs are usually only in the checked baggage area unless you're flying internationally. im not saying people shouldnt be careful, you definitely should as you dont want someone to smell something, but if you're careful with the metal detector, you should be able to carry it through somewhere on your person no prob. probably not in your pocket though... common sense everyone.
