I just moved to Phoenix, AZ and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some cheap furniture...I need a dining room table, patio table and chairs, coffee table and end tables?

Craigslist is cool. Lots of flakes, but good deals if you're persistant. www.craigslist.org

i live up in prescott, and we have a great freecycle group. i'm sure phoenix is even better, if you want to check out freecycle.org, i'm sure you'd get lots of replies on furniture! truthloveandlight! :group_hug

you could try to make your own. a pair of books from the seventies, Nomadic Furniture I & II by richard hennessy and james papanek, are a great idea source for building your own furniture from various available materials that are readily had in or near your homesite. most decent sized libraries should have copies on the shelves.
also, society of st. vincent depaul and salvation army run thrift stores with 'previously owned' furnishings and stuph.

Cinder blocks and plywood for tables.

Milk crates for chairs.

Seriously, that what a lot of hippies used as furniture. It was affordable, lol :D

Peace

Bean bags!!!!

Rummage sales are great, this weekend there is one here its about 10-15 miles of nothing but yard sales, its a small town and everyone has one its awesome, I am going with a friend we are to be there at 7 am!! We are bringing back packs and a wagon and I have a babysitter!!
Sounds funny to be so excited but you find stuff super cheap and I need clothes for my little man and shoes, pretty much everything for summer time!!

So my point was rummage sales=cheap stuff, maybe furniture!!
