Hi everyone--

I was wondering if anybody has read anything good lately? I just finished reading a couple of Dean Koontz novels. I also am reading this book my friend gave me called He's Just Not That Into You. It is ok so far. so if you have read anything good, please share :)

They have a small library of books in town, and one of the three or four shelves is almost covered in Angela's Ashes, so I'm reading that one. It's pretty good so far, very funny, but I know it's gunna get worse. :)

I don't do much fiction, but I read alot of magazines. Favorite being Mother Earth News. I did read a book last month though, it was Plan B by Lester brown. It's about what is happening to our planet enviromentally and otherwise, informative but not a really happy book :( . Perhaps with a dose of Sponge Bob between chapters it's bearable. :D

Favorite books this year: Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller (memoir of white girl growing up in Africa); Breaking the Limit by Karen Larsen (woman rides her motorcycle alone from NJ to Alaska and back); Ten Stupid Things Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives (I haven't done 10 things, but the primary thing this book tries to make you see is that happiness is within yourself, and you can't look to others for it). About to read the What the Bleep book and Beginner's Guide to Quantum Psychology and Suzanne Somers' Sexy Years.
Favorite films: Garden State, What the Bleep, and Sideways.

Right now I'm reading a book by David Brin, called 'Kiln People'. It's sort of a fantasy/mystery about a futuristic scenario where real people don't have to do anything they don't want, because technology has been developed to create duplicates of yourself, which only last for one day... Kind of an odd concept, but it makes you think a little bit.

I just finished reading The Rabbit Factory by Larry Brown. Larry is a local boy who had a heart attack and died a few weeks ago.
