Wow, this took a while. That's what a nice bowl of sativa will do to you at 4 in the morning. Please let me know what you think. I hope this engourages others to give their own opinions on this overly-debated multi-issue.
Why do most folks, when they become successful, become CONSERVATIVES?
*Define success and you will find that your opinion differs than others. While some people may not make as much money, they realize that not being selfish can be much more fullfilling.
Why do most folks, when they learn to speak proper English, become CONSERVATIVES?
*This is simply an ignorant query. The typical right-wingers view of liberals being slang-throwing, ill-speaking simpletons sets me off. The fact of the matter is, that people who tend to be liberals tend to fall in the more sophisticated realm of American society. Look at the areas that voted for Kerry. They offer the best of American art and hipness. California and New York are well more than enough said. Now look at the area that have become to be known as "Jesus Land". (disclaimer: I have no problem with Jesus. I think the man had some good things to say.) You will find that test scores are lower and a sense of lagging behind in comparison to more liberal areas. You yourself need to learn how to spell.
Why are most ambitious and motivated folks CONSERVATIVES?
*Ditto to this question, being it an ignorant one. I know plenty of people with barrels of motivation and ambition that hate the Republican ideal. As a musician, I work, study, and live with creative people who display an impressive amount of talent and potential who are for the most part, liberal.
Why are more LIBERAL public officials "caught with their hand in the till" than CONSERVATIVES?
*Bill Clinton was caught for going Ricky Ricardo on Monica and Bush is known to have snorted coke. (attaboy, dubya) The fact is that politicians are human beings, too. And bring me EVERY case of misconduct involving a politician and we'll see who has the more corruption.
Why are CONSERVATIVE gatherings so much better dressed than LIBERAL?
*Scoffs. I beg to differ. In fact, I demand to differ. I'd much rather go for a hip young lady who is dressed in a hemp top that cutely compliments her art gallery (which sales to benefit a refugee relief program) than a leather apron wearing gal who is cooking veal.
Why are LIBERALS for higher taxes? Could it be that most don't pay any taxes?
*Yes.
Why are so many LIBERALS on the "dole"?
*A conservative who knows enough about culture to know an Australian term? Impressive. The answer is simple. The reason more LIBERALS are receiving government aid is because conservatives tend to either be people who worked their way to the top, and became selfish, or people who were born into it. Liberals who work their way to the top are not giving to lazy slobs, as you conservatives believe. Rather, they are giving to those who truly don't have the means, such as speaking for environmental rights, (our future generations don't have the means to tell us to chill on the car sauce) or funding a Sudanese relief program to help all those poor Darfur residents, who have been suffering at the hands of the merciless Janjaweed. (the three year old child in Tawila does not have the means to break free of this environment) Would it not be worth the extra money from your already fat conservative paycheck to ballance out the world a little?
Why are so many government employees LIBERALS?
*Even though this question is vague, I will attempt to answer it. They are NOT generally liberal. I live in an area (Denton, Tx) which has a liberal college town vibe cause of the music, art, and film schools @ UNT but it also has the most blood sucking municipal and county courts I've ever seen. Relatively speaking, to me government employees are NOT liberal.
Why are so many public school teachers LIBERALS?
*Because they already have an unselfish nature and see a little bit more of humanity than some yacht commanding yuppie who's concerned about the latest employee cut-rate revenue.
Why do we find so many social problems where we find LIBERALS?
*Perhaps it's because liberals tend to address the problems more than conservatives, and thus are more recognized as being in a "problem" area.
Why do we find so many CONSERVATIVES in quite[sic], peaceful neighborhoods?
*Come to some areas in Texas where you'll get a beer bottle thrown at your head if you have a mo-hawk and tell me conservatives are peaceful.
Why are virtually all "rappers" LIBERALS?
*Actually, I can't think of a single person I know that is associated with hip-hop (the genre and sub-culture to which rap belongs, for those of you conservatives who don't know the lingo) that is conservative. People who identify with this group tend to be more liberal, period.
Why are so many LIBERAL politicians so anti-American?
*What is anti-American? Just because you think something is wrong with your current system does not mean you hate the name behind it. Just because you don't support an unnecessary war does not mean you don't pray for the safe return of those involved. I have several friends that are over there and yes, they all are the pushy, beat-you-up-if-you-disagree type dudes that make a typical soldier and I disagree with alot of their views but I still wish them luck and I'm still proud to live in America. America is more than her ideals, we have our own culture. Examples include the drumset, Yosemite, bluegrass, Mickey Mouse, the cheeseburger, jazz, the list goes on. I think our politicians who are against current American positions still be proud of America. Otherwise they wouldn't be trying to improve it as best as they see fit.
Why are LIBERAL politicians so shrill and antagonistic? Could it be that their constituents do not react as expected to normal behavior?
*To answer the first question, that's a blatant generalization which has no grounds. Conservative politicians can be just as reactive. And your second question is once again, too vague. What is this normal behavior you speak of in reference to how "constituents" of the liberal belief system are supposed to react?

Ya nice job!!! People are people, we should meet them in the air and accept them for who they are. Like a buffet, fill your plate with the things you like, try something new, pass on the rest. And hope the conservative dishes at the buffet dont jump up and start killing innocent people in the resturant in the name of Home Land Security. That would be bad. ;)

Thank you for putting something into words that just generally seems to float around in my brain without me being able to verbalize it. You rock, oldkzildjians. :D

Thanks, guys. Good to hear from people who have similiar views.
Man, our legal system is seriously flawed. I've been in trouble lately for things like drinking after 2 am, and yet it's decided that someone who stole my credit card number is not worth going after. Go figure.
