Okay so I'm planning a wedding and it all seems so overwhelming. I don't know where to have it. We kind of want like a natural setting but I'm having a hard time just putting things together in general. Anyone have ideas? I know there was a previous Wedding thread but I figured I start a new one. I'd appreciate any suggestions THANKS!

You need a massive hookah, with like twenty hoses and a six inch bowl. That'll make the party a hit...

Hmm hehe I feel like such a little giddy school school girl, but oh wait i am a giddy school girl! :p Well what I've always wanted to do for my wedding is have it up at Madison Hut in the White Mountains because its absolutley GORGEOUS there and me and my family hike up to that hut every summer. So I'd get married there like on this cliff that looks out over everything and for the reception the hutmasters would make the food *in the huit system up there theres 5/6 people that work in the huts and cook for the thru hikers. So theyd make the food and then we'd have the reception outside and I'm not too sure about the music but I know thered be bongos :D and then the next morning we would start on a hike back to Springer Moutain in GA so we'd pretty much hike almost the entire app. trail for our honeymoon which I think would be AWESOME ~ But then again I'm a hiking rockclimbing wilderness fanatic so I dont really know if my "dream wedding" would match up too well with that many others. . . but I have lots of ideas. Hope this helped, if not I enjoyed telling it so thank you for the opportunity :D
Best of luck with your wedding and congradulations!
Peace n' Love

We got married at a forrest preserve that had special meaning to us. It was like $20 to rent out the building near where we wanted to get married. Then we had all our food in there and got married in the woods near the building. The great part about it was all our friends stayed and camped with us. We had a huge drum circle and a nice fire. The campground hosts were actually nice to us and drove our kegs down into the walk in camping area with their golf cart :) I really liked our wedding. It was cheap and a lot of fun. Plus we didn't need to decorate much because the park is beautiful by itself.

Weddings are fun. I was at one this summer in Lake Tahoe that was beautiful. I made myself a hemp headband that was almost like a renaissance crown. Everyone loved it so much that they wished I had made one for all the of the bridal party! I wore my hair in looped braids, which I also did myself, and ended up with a better hairdo that the braidsmaids who had been worked on by the professional hairstylist! My vote is for a renaissance wedding where everything is fancy and just a little over the top. :)
Oh yes, and for the part where people "throw rice" at the newlyweds, um bubbles are GREAT!, birdseed sucks. At my wedding they threw birdseed that ended up down my dress, in my hair, and flung into my eyes. At the Tahoe wedding I went to, they did bubbles and it turned out very cool.

I had this great idea for a wedding once to have a really small one on a bridge with a waterfall in the background, but I havnt figured out where the crowd would sit. The bride, groom, and pastor would all be on the bridge though. Then after the wedding instead of the bride and groom riding away in a limo there would a raft waiting for them down the river that they would raft away on. It would be cool if both of them were paddleing instead of just one rowing. But there still would be alot to work out if you were going to make that happen.
