Conformity
Society conforms you into thinking you need a
college dgree, a 9-5 job, and a Fairy Tale Wedding,
it try's to tell you to have
2.5 kids and a house with a white picket fence, and a dog named Roy,
it try's to conform you into thinking you need to wait for Prince Charming,
But...what if I want a job that calls me whenever I'm needed,
what if I want a hippie wedding, five kids, and a house with a big fireplace,
Can I have that or do I have to conform to what society wants?
because I don't want Prince Charming
I just want someone who will love me for me
and not for who society wants me to be.

Conformity...??? America has just set the standard by what the average person has. set your standards and do what you want. Just make sure you can afford 5 kids, as I do not want to pay for your extra love. only mine! and it should not matter if your man is a truck driver or a lawyer if you love him he will always be your prince charming; Or may be the artist formally known as prince charming.

society can only conform you if you let it do it's brainwashing....
but i can sympathize with your thoughts, i'm sure everyone can... i think about that a lot.. looking around at some of my friends lives, they're striving for what they like to think is the "American Dream".. what ever happened to OUR dream??!
we're only going to find true happiness by following our dreams, not society's standards
and the one who makes you happy and loves you for who you are.. IS prince charming... there's no perfect, and if there was, it would be boring!

Conformity is such a funny issue because we're all conforming to some standard, even if not the traditional one. Even if it just be the standard we set for ourself.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he meant any offense by that. What I read from it was he meant paying taxes that help support those on welfare, etc. I think he's saying don't have more than you can afford.
