I hope this thread will enspire others to give their experiences they have had.

This past weekend I had the best trip. My wife and I went over to my sister-in-law's house at the lake for a photo shoot of the website. After ariving and the gal's where getting the clothes laid out, my BIl and I had some KB. I was startign to feel it alittle when my wife and her sister said they where ready to take photos. It was a partly cloudy day, but the wind was coming off the lake a liitle stronger than we expected. So we decided to do shots closer to the house so they had easy access to changing (unlike the photo shoot at the waterfalls), which was fine by me because I didn't fee like hiking all the way down hill to the docks. So I staked out an area where I could get the lake in the background. I pulled up a lawn chair and positioned myself in the area of the shoot. We took a few shots beore the gals went to change and between changings, I closed my eyes and did some yoga breathing (I don't remember the spelling, but it's called ungyi.. oon-jiy-ee) and while I was doing that the sun was dancing between clouds and the limbs of the trees infront of me. It was amazing. The KB kicked in with full effect. With my eyes closed I could feel the warmth of the sun and the light through my eye lids. I continued to do my breathing and OHM's when I noticed the cool wind blowing from the lake on my face, I also realized I could control the color of the light coming through my eye lids. I changed them from red to yellow to white. I tried hard to make other colors, but was always interupted when the gals came back out side. After doing the a few times I did notice when I opened my eyes, my vision had a blue tint to it. this was due to the effect of optical illusions.. much like looking at the yellow, green, and black american flag, then looking at a white surface (you see the flag in it's correct colors). It was one of the best trips I ever did, altered.

This one time I did a breathing exercise (non-altered) and my eyes (which were closed) lit up as if the sun was cast on them. my lids were lit up red, and I saw friends and family (some deceased) hugging me and telling me how proud they where of me. When I finnaly opened my eyes, I was laying down with a few tears coming out of my eyes. the weirdest thing, was there was no sun shining, infact I had "tranced" through a powerful storm. Yoga does some amazing things. just thought I would share those two with you.

That's awesome. It seems like a lot of people these days are into smoking weed or using other substances just for the experience they provide, and thus they are always looking for more powerful drugs. I think it's great to combine drugs with other practices and techniques, to see what you can create rather than just smoking the mind into oblivion all the time. :bandit:

Thanks man, The other thing I like to do (when I can't go outside or don't feel like cimbing the stairs to my meditation area) I like to watch the "beyond the mind's eye" early CGI video with the sound turned off with the stereo playing 13th Floor. It's weird how some songs link up with the action on the screen. Much like the "Dark Side of the Rainbow". I need to get some editing equipment and splice the elevators with that cgi movie.

Hope this isn't a threadjack...I have always wanted to do something like that to enhance my trips...to make them more of an enlightening experience. Transcendental, I guess.

I don't really know how to meditate though. Would you have some suggestions?

I studied yoga through the "Art of living".
I way I learned to breath correctly was .. well it's kinda hard to say..

Breath in through your nose deeply, like you are pretending to snore.. but not too loud, then breath out the same way. Keep your mouth closed. In a sitting stance there are three positions that great for a beginner. Put your hands flat with the fingers touching and your thumbs facing you, keep them together and place them on your waist (index fingers & thumbs should be touching you.) Do ten reps, then relax and breath normal through your nose. When you are ready put your hands together that same way and "hook" you thumbs right under your arm pits. Ten reps, then rest. Then the third position is flatten your palms out and place them side by side (when you look at them they should look like an open book) place them over your head and onto your back (still together like an open book). Ten reps then rest. During each rest you may feel the urge or want to say OHM. If you say OHM, say it as long as you can. I usually say it once or twice during a rest.

It's easier to show you. :)

Sounds like an excellent experience, and I'm glad you got something very powerful out of it!

I'm sitting here feeling very groovy. I just smoked some good stuff and a small springtime storm cloud just came by and rained. I was up in my meditation area and I just tranced out to the windchimes outside, the cool breeze through the windows, and the rain hitting my tin roof.

Man it's very peaceful.

You know, I'd love to see some pictures of your meditation area. I love that kind of stuff and if I had a cool, inducing atmosphere I think it'd help me to be able to settle my mind down long enough to meditate.

OK this may sound weird or crazy to some of you. I am an ameture weather watcher. I'd love to go storm chasing, but I do not have the moeny for the proper equipment nor insurance to pay for damage to pay for myself, vehicle or property if I am caught in a bad situation out in the field. So all I do is go out to an area (it's flat here) and watch storm clouds roll in and predict how bad they will be. I don't do this all the time, just whenever I have the spare chance. I keep a NOAA band radio with me when it looks like a storm is coming up and I take a digital camera with me to photograph the clouds.

Yesterday was the most interesting experiance I've had when it comes to weather watching. I had been following the local news about two big storm systems forming, and noticed one getting close to my county that had rotation in it. So my wife and I drove out to the edge of town where the cotton fields start. We pulled off the road and I got my camera ready for any dramatic shots. I had just smoked some KB that was left at my house from a party a few months ago. I got my radio out and camera ready, just as it kicked in. I watched as professional chasers zoomed up and down the road, one even stopping to see if I needed assistance. I told her,"no thanks" and that I was taking photos. Well about being out there for about 40 mins or so my radio started broadcasting a tornado warning. A tornado had been spotted just south of the neighboring city. I got my binoculars out and watched as this thin line came down and danced on the horizon. I was so much in awe (and my wife too) from seeing that. I wanted to take pictures but the cloud cover had gotten so thick that the sun was blocked out. They wouldn't have looked that great anyways, the tornado was barely visible. But just sitting there seeing such a beautiful but dangerous thing was mind blowing.
I looked up at the clouds and noticed that they wheren't rotating, which was good. We packed up when it started to rain. About 10 mins after we got home the elecricity got knocked out (by a second tornado just north west of the same neighboring city... I'm glad we didnt get that house). For the rest of the night, my wife and I sat at the table and played cards by candle light and looked at articles in Mother Earth News. Our electricity finnal came on a few hours ago, btw.
