Chickens?

Okay so I've tried to contain my curiosity, but I just cant anymore, as an avid reader of the diary, um, Pedata, do you have your chickens yet?

No. not yet. The coop lacks a door and windows. Problems. Wasps swarming. Thor is terrified of wasps. He will hurt himself getting away from one. So, a running circular saw is not a good thing for him to be holding when a wasp comes near. I mean, he could cut half his head off in panic.


The wasps should be through in another week maybe. I hope.

I'm turning into a mad mother hen who wants her babies!!!

your enthusiasm for chickens is catchy. i grew up on a farm, so we had some, and i loved watching them and giving them bread. we even adopted one that would sit in our laps and fall asleep. i keep thinking if i could only borrow some just to lower the slug population down around my house. but i do believe our dog, who is friendly, but a coward, would bark at them all the time and chase them if she got the chance. she barks at crows and chickadees in the trees. oh well, i hope you get your babies soon.
